How to Fix PvP

Reading the forum here, the topics are saturated with nerf requests, complaints about class supers, and weapon classes. I enjoy playing the crucible and I take pride in my accuracy and strategy, but the experience is very often ruined (in my opinion) by people abusing or overusing very powerful weaponry (shotguns, hand cannons, AR's, Heavies). This uneven-ness is also preventing low-level users from entering the crucible, which seems like a way for Bungie to force players into putting more hours in, which I find sad. The simple solution to all of these problems is surely to have a game type which: - Brings all weaponry of each category down to the same stats; - Removes weapon and armour perks; - Flattens character perks; - Removes super usage (or could be linked to kill streaks); - Restricts usage of secondary weapons and heavy weapons (could also be linked to kill streaks). An 'MLG' game type, I suppose, which would create an environment that is a true test of a player's skill, rather than a test of their persistence in gathering superior weaponry and armour. I would love this to come about, and would it not solve a lot of problems?

  • Please don't take this the wrong way... But if this happens I will never play PvP again... Being a noob in crucible is something we all had to go through... Sure its hard, you get owned, you get back up, you get owned again... But every game you play, every time you get back up, you get stronger...and harder to knock back down... The grind for good gear is hard, and can be unbearable...but there is no match to the feeling when those exotics start popping up... The battle ground has absolutely no room for fairness, and I promise you this, some of these veterans, could be just as deadly with ANY weapon... My point is that putting us on even playing ground, would not make us equals, it would make Destinys PvP like every other boring shooter out there right now... I will agree that Destinys crucible could use a PvP school, were the noobs can battle each other till they get strong enough to play the real deal... (I use the word noob in the kindest way possible, much like the army calls its new recruits crappy names) no hate intended
