So are ascendant and radiant materials worthless now?
Since no new gear requires them, and all old gear can be ascended. If you ascend VoG or CE raid gear without maxing it out, do you still need to buy all the upgrade nodes with ascendant/radiant mats, or does it just jump to max level straight away regardless of prior progress?

1 ReplyAscending old gear only raises the maximum attack/defense. You still need to upgrade them fully to reach the cap. Other than that, farming VoG and CE for Ascendant and Radiant material is going to be the best way to earn Motes of Light by trading those materials at the Speaker.

1 ReplyI ascended my Thunder lord (with just the final damage upgrade missing), but it didn't max it, so I know exotics still need that last shard. Having said that, I'm mostly posting so I can see the answer for raid and legendary 'cus I'm interested too.
