This is a solid method. I plan on something similar. Also this is based the light dropping in the poe. It may not always drop.

I think you always get etheric light for the level 34 PoE

I hope so but remember the raids now say they offer armor as a reward but it's not always dropped.

That is a good point. I kinda figured whatever was listed was guaranteed, but you never know with bungie.
