Hear me out, it's a simple request.
With House of Wolves we'll be able to upgrade our Legendary Gear to all be Max light/attack. This is more than likely due to the vast number of complaints about everyone looking pretty much the same and using the same equipment. All I'm asking, is the following.
All gear that was available before the HoW DLC makes a return so that we can have more variety. I miss the stylish names like Shadow Price and Ghost Angel. We never really had the space to store favorites until recently, so it would give a lot of players the chance to acquire some of the old and forgotten gear. This is a much better alternative than completely replacing even more legendary gear.
I imagine the best way to do this would be to put it on a cycle with the current gear vendors.
Vanguard, Crucible- Cycles between launch weapons and armor, TDB weapons and armor, and HoW weapons and armor at random.
Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, Future War Cult- Cycles between Launch weapons and armor, and HoW weapons and armor at random.
Updated. These cycles would happen every few hours or so, similar to the gunsmith.
Updated 5/6. Listing the Gear that needs to return.

Updated 5/18- It seems we've made it onto Deej's community wishlist. Shout out to nevai for being the first one to point this out to me, as well as providing the link. https://www.bungie.net/ru/Forum/Post/114521210/0/0

Edited by nevai: 7/25/2015 8:04:22 AMI've checked armory on bungie.net. All old wepons have this source as an option "Vanguard/Crucible Quartermaster sometimes sells this item". Is it a mistake or a feature? Also Nightfall and Strike playlists rewards are sources too.

Cryptic Dragon!

A new vendor should be able to sell these items

I 100% want the "vanilla" and "<1>" gear to remain an option, in the same way I don't want the "<2>" gear to go when TTK comes out. I am ok with just having it come back in to availability in three vendors as if it never left, along side all the other gear. I would prefer it to be exclusive to those who had access to it during it's time of availability, but I feel that's a tall order. I would love maybe a task to complete (similar to the way exotic bounties are done) for each faction vendor that upon completion, unlocks the gear that was made unavailable. I am all for personalization, and this is a good step on the right direction. This applies to all vendors, DO, FWC, NM, vanguard, crucible and iron banner. I also think that Eris and Queens Emissary should have armour as weapons to buy as well.

More option the better. Why doesn't Bungie understand this.

Luke Smith in his interview spoke about how the Devs at Bungie are constantly attempting to figure a way to "show the player was there when......" an event transpired in the past. David Dague in an interview with Destin at ign mentioned "10 years with the same gun can be boring". O_O We've got Bungies Luke Smith on the topic of gear being the only way to show you were there, and David Dague on the topic of that gear being kept as "boring". Implying it's not exciting to keep it. First DeeJ, YOU thinking that any gear we want to keep that we'd "want to keep it for ten years" is a childish statement implying that players who want to keep anything want to keep it for ten years, and your opinion about it being "boring" is completely irrelevant, because nobody asked you if what WE ENJOY is boring to -->you<--. And honestly... 10 years playing this game would be more boring than using my favorite weapons. Luke.... 1st way to show "you were there when...." an event was happening in the game is to introduce weapons and gear that are only obtainable from those events you introduce into the game. You're having hive sword knights in the game, you're having Fallen Packs as public events transpiring. But you get no permanent weapons or armor affiliated with those events. Duh. Bad enough you removed the chances of legendary weapons from earlier DLC from earlier strike playlists. You waited WAY too long to introduce upgrading day 1 weapons and gear under too small a vault. And now after phasing the ability to get any decent gear from past strike playlists, you've got DeeJ telling us it's boring to HIM if we use the same gun for what he imagined WE want as "10 years", and Luke without a clue on adding gear to temporary events Bungie adds and removes. It's like Bungie is full of "man-children".

Bump, all HoW Vanguard weapons (minus the Allfate Pulse rifle, that is pretty good) are bogus, they just look weak compared to the likes of Vanilla and TDB guns like what you mentioned and others like LDR, Harm's Way or even One Way Ticket and Secret Handshake
-
Don't forget the Badger CCL scout rifle. Either bring it back or make a new model with similar stats.

With Destiny 'expansions' don't actually expansion onto the previous content. They should call them limitations instead of expansions.

Rather than being on a cycle, I think Tess Everis should provide a way to re-acquire that stuff. She claims to handle "special requisitions", so let's give her a chance to prove it. We get old gear back, we don't have to wait for the right cycle and a near-useless character suddenly becomes a lot more important. Win-win.
-
I think we need more bumps.

According to DeeJ; Bungie wants us to move on to new more powerful weapons as time goes on and not develop a "10 year relationship." Ok Bungie, YOU move on to your new weapons. I'm perfectly happy with my Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence, and Found Verdict. Not everyone will be happy with your new weapons. Please realize that some people will prefer the old over the new while others will always enjoy the newest thing.

All i want is my beautiful Eclipse Maw VI helmet back.....

You're forgetting something lol. Volt space.

I would be happy with that....as long as the old perks were resurrected as well. I am not a fan of the newer perks.
-
Yeah I never understood why they take them out to begin with. I still occasionally use my shadow price and zombie apocalypse in crucible and they're still viable imo. I do think they should figure out a way to give us more storage if they do add them though.

I thought this post would be crappie but I love it it's a great idea!
