If you fight him and kill him you get all his power and join the Exo stranger who you find out is part of a anti-oryx group, a group of all alien races the best of the cabal, the hive, the humans, the Exo, the awoken, the vex, and the fallen. You become a leader of this group alongside the Exo stranger, the queens brother, crota's general, the real vex mind, the cabal's top commander, and the hive queen. And wage war against the follower of oryx including the speaker and most of the tower. Ps. For destiny two you could have a civil war where you can be any race. Evan the original enimies.
