I used to have a lot of respect for Bungie, both as a company and as a developer. They had a great relationship with their core community and a true talent for making games that were rich in lore rather than bloodshed. I think the studio that made Myth, Marathon, Halo, etc. and the studio that is barely keeping its head above water with Destiny are the same in name only. They've lost so much of their key talent (who could blame a story writer for walking out on a game with no story?), and it shows. They've consistently ignored backlash from the community over what they, as consumers and supporters, consider to be bad decisions. It started with the Bungie.net redesign and seems to still be snowballing. They burned a lot of bridges by letting Destiny be so overhyped before its release. I don't believe they were really so blind as to not see the faults in it. As far as fixing and amending the game goes, their priorities seem (from the outside) to be constantly skewed. There have been some much needed improvements, but overall the game is so lackluster at its core that I don't think any amount of bug fixes is going to change public opinion. All that said, I also think some people don't know the difference between criticizing a fault and complaining about something they don't like. All the blam cluttering up the forums only makes constructive feedback harder to find and/or take seriously.
