Xür Merchandise Question
Okay so I got Destiny like 2 Weeks ago and I only have a couple hours invested to it. I'm a Level 24 and when I got to Xur (just to browse), he has all these exotics. And the prerequisite for these exotic weapons is confusing.
For example,
Thorn requirements need "Thorn 0/1"
Im a little confused because how does purchase a thorn even when it say to hand in a thorn to purchase a thorn? Sorry if this doesn't make any sense but I was curious on how it works.
Also, when I first played Destiny, the area behind Xander was open and it was a really cool place. But now it's closed and I don't know why. My friend said it was something about the Iron Banner or the Queen or something. Can someone further explain? Thanks for the Help! I'd really appreciate it.

Those are upgrades for sale, not the weapon for sale. Only the top bar of items you can purchase.

Those purchases are put in place for people who played the game prior to TDB release. When the game launched, exotics were bought/rewarded/decrypted at a maximum of 300 attack. With the release of TDB, the weapon maximum increased to 331, and so if you had one with a 300 max you trade it in to Xur for a new one with 331 maximum. In short you have no need to buy those as you don't have any drops from pre-TDB, so don't waste the currency and time.

2 RepliesThat is if you have a thorn with only 300 attack and you want to trade it in for one with 331 arrack. After the DLC came out all exotics got an attack boost. And the iron banner which is a crucible game time comes about once a month.
