The hunger is a better heavy drop. The song bounces like tits in a strip club. The weapons is hard to control. Looks good but you're not missing out on much! I can also relate to you man. I want the black hammer so bad! People have told me it's worthless but I need it!

Anybody that told you black hammer is useless is completely ignorant. Only secondary I use in PVE. 22k crit hits w/weapons of light on Atheon. If anything is OP it's Black Hammer.

The Black Hammer would be an Ice Breaker killing on 2 conditions. 1. A larger clip size. Say 6 rounds while landing a series of critical hits would still yield 3 extra rounds in the magazine. 2. The Unflinching Perk, because landing those precision shots can be a bit tricky at times. As it stands now, the only thing that makes the Black Hammer comparable to the Ice Breaker, is that it doesn't have an exotic status allowing you to carry another exotic weapon for your one slot. The damage is greater on the Ice Breaker, though the Black Hammer does seem to hit Hive Majors harder, despite the absence of the Disruptor perk. I noticed that when hitting the Swordbearer in Crota HM.

I want the white nail perk and it looks cool but I can't get it. My ice breaker does 24k and it's not fully upgraded.

I've found Black Hammer outperforms icebreaker in most situations. Makes boss fights seem easy, you can essentially never run out of ammo. Add Gally/black hammer combo...makes this game a joke.
