Trading System in House of Wolves?
If the rumors of a trading system are true, how do you guys think it could work? I myself would love a trading system with exotic for exotic or rarity level based on percentage of players who have the item. I have 3 galleys and several other exotic dupes people could use, alone with several raid dupes. A trading system could work in Destiny. The best suggestion I've heard so far: "I think if they introduced a "trade coin" of some sort (trade any item of equal rarity and both must use a "trade coin") it would majorly curb external real money issues. Also, if they cap the amount of "trade currency" used it would keep players grinding." -TheAshenSky

2 RepliesTrading will kill destiny, soon as people get everything you tend to stop playing that game. If there is still something to work towards you will keep playing. If you had everything you would feel fulfilled and quit.

Player to player trading will just create "give us $ for <insert exotic> @ destinywin.com" type sites and repetive PMs by folks with names such as RTHGFD376, asking for your patronage. Then they hack your account, resell item and all your legit stuff too. Anyone who has played MMOs knows this is true. Only end of mission trading/gifting should be allowed.

If we get trading, it will be with tower personalities. I just don't see person-to-person trading becoming a reality for a variety of economic and technic reasons.

2 RepliesIt will just be a post mission reward screen trading. For example ....you & your buddy run the nightfall. You get your 4th gjallahorn & he gets coins. You could simply trade. Thats the best we will ever get.

Example: I have two gjallarhorn launchers and I only need let's say hawkmoon for have all exotic weapons. Don't u think I'll only trade for it and once I have it I'll a). Never trade again or b) only ever trade doubles for another double. That's part of the issue. The ither major problem is the fact that players will only ever trade the doubles they have. Ask your self would you really trade your only gjallarhorn for xxxxx exotic to have it? No you wouldn't and so players will only ever trade on a no loss bases. Therefore the system is already broken before it exist. Now if bungie fixed that so you have to take a loss, that is you can only trade the one item for there one item then it makes sense but that's not going to happen as there are players like me that have had several doubles drop over and over.

I'm against trading so wouldn't be part of it. And I've never heard of a rumour just people begging Bungie to make there lives easier.

4 RepliesI was against trading in the game at first since it makes your found items and exotics less special. But... With Xur handing out exotics like they were candy I don't think there is a valid reason not to have trading any more. I hope in Destiny 2 there is no such thing in Xur and 1 in a 1000 guardians might be lucky enough to have one exotic after many hours of gameplay.

It would heavily abused and it would break the game, so much real life currency would be used to get guns and there would no point to play the game anymore if you could just have a friend trade you all the gear or buy it off someone.

Not saying that couldn't have changed completely since. But they never said anything about it at all after that.

Na first option is fine). Helm for helm, etc. This'll keep people from trading crap for something good just so their friends can get awesomeness without working towards it. Also can't trade raid items or weapons unless it's raid item for raid item (this is for those guardians that have 2 arm pieces yet are missing a chest piece and want to trade someone with the opposite problem). No vex or necrochasm trading or weapons from bounties or quests. It's strict but better than nothing.

So let's say you do a nightfall and get a legendary primary engram. Your friend gets 10 strange coins. Once the nightfall is completed you have 30 minutes to trade the nightfall rewards within your fireteam.
