First and only bump. Curious about how they rationalise it.

  • Because then someone can hog heavy ammo the entire match. It only comes twice, 3 times for slow games. Everyone has to have a chance on it. Countering teams with alot of heavy isn't difficult. Just wait for your team to grab it.

If everyone has heavy ammo, then no one has heavy ammo. No one said anything about it being difficult to counter a team with it. Just that it ruins the flow of the match drastically. And everyone DOES have a chance to get it, even if it dropped to one person. By being there when it spawns.

  • Heavy ammo drops are intended to turn a match around. It's supposed to disrupt the flow. Same way there's about 3 points I'm the game where over half of the players are using their supers. And spawns don't always put you next to the heavy ammo. Sometimes selfish team mates can ruin a heavy ammo drop. The recent patch toned down the match turning potential though as players no longer drop their heavy when killed
