Thanks for the lesson!! I have one question though, something I have long investigated but been unable to solve conclusively: When orbs are dropped, (lets say three orbs) are those 3 orbs available to the entire community, and the first person who runs over them will pick them up, taking them out of the world and into their super meter? Or Are three orbs produced for each guardian? You see orbs on the ground, and just as with ammo, engrams, those little quest pyramids, and every other object on the ground, those are yours alone to pick up. I guess what I am asking is when an orb is produced, is that one orb for each guardian in the community or one orb for the community to share?

  • Example: In the Nightfall, Teammate A produces 8 orbs, Teammate B produces 8 orbs and I produce 8 orbs. Every person will have 16 orbs to pick up (8 each from the other 2). You'll always have those 16 on the ground. For further clarity, if you make 8 orbs in a Nightfall you're making 16 net orbs for the whole team (8 x 2 teammates). In the raid if you make 8 you'll make 40 net orbs across the whole team (8 x 5 teammates). They will always stay on the ground regardless of what your teammates do, that is unless you die. Death = all orbs on the ground for you (ones you can pickup not what you generated) disappear. TL;DR - Each player gets their own set of orbs. Dying makes them go away.
