Bungie, In some previous Mmo/Rpg games I've played you can take a look of armors/weapons and use currency to put it on another set of armor/weapon. Example below. Go to NPC and place items in 3 slots: Slot 1 Stats - level 30 raid helm placed Slot 2 Look - level 5 rare helm placed Slot 3 Payment - strange coin/motes/shards/glimmer. To me best idea said is weapon/armor parts as a payment as well.(edited) Result = level 5 helm with level 30 stats (still required level 20 to wear) What u all think? [If yes please make sure to bump post up to top ;) ] Edit: Most popular ideas regarding the matter will make it on the list. 1. Looks like most popular suggestions calls for transmogrification Bungie. 2. I'd like to point out that some people are suggesting DCUO type where u save the look of the armor you've obtained. (Just another suggestion. 3. Another new addition that has been brought up is having a vanity slot for each weapon/armor slot and just place the look you're going for in there without changing stats. 4. Some don't want to be able to do this with exotics just legendaries 5. Other players also brought up being able to use motes of light to increase light levels on weapons and armors 6. Another guardian suggested ability to "rotate" through options for how the shader colors are applied to a specific piece of gear.(edit) 7. Also brought up is the ability to "purchase" custom icons that can be applied to your gear or weapons (similar to the Queen items) ****Keep it up guardians were trending!!!!****

 • There are two basic ways of solving the looks problem. The option you mention is one, and while it works it's biggest use is removing items from an economy, which Destiny doesn't really have since we can't trade. So each time you want to change how you look you combine two items into one, destroying it, making it difficult to swap looks back easily. It also works as a currency sink, which we also don't need. The alternative option is to add cosmetic slots. Simpler, doesn't destroy items (which means I can switch back and forth between looks without having to keep acquiring new copies of the armor), but means taking up inventory space with stuff saved for its looks. I feel this is the much better option in the long run because it allows for freely adjusting your looks on the fly. Cosmetics, what you look like, is huge for a lot of people in games like this, and shouldn't be as tedious or costly as transmogrification, especially if that required *going to the tower* every time I want to change something. (seriously, one of the biggest complaints I hear is people don't want to go to the tower for every little thing, why ask for this to be a freaking vender?!?!) At that point why not make it so you can only swap armor/weapons there too. There's no need to make it a huge complicated system or cost a ton of motes/coins because a diehard minority has a ton of them, the goal of this discussion is better control of our appearance. (are we going to see posts asking for transmog to cost 100+ coins so only the elite true fans can do it?) So I'd vote for #3 I have no problem over-riding the looks of exotics, no reason to cripple my ability to customize just because only an exotic has the stats I want. Using Motes to upgrade? Like taking Light 33 gear to Light 36 gear? Sounds fine to me. Insignia mods? Sounds awesome.
