Destiny is a metaphor for Bungie.net as a whole. In our Golden Age, we were prosperous, connected, and happy. Then Bungie released the Darkness in the form of Bungie.next, ending our Golden Age. After a period of rebuilding, Destiny was released, which is akin to the releasing of hordes of enemies in Destiny, with each new, uninitiated poster being a new detriment to our society. There are places left for the old community, like Mythic Members, OTK, and TFL, but that's really it. We're on the brink.
