Can't you see what's happening Bungie? (BUMP THIS)

All of these "The update we will never get" posts aren't complaints. They aren't people whining. They aren't people quitting. They aren't people who are upset (Just disappointed). They are criticism posts that are actually constructive! They are the real community! The people who want to change this game for the better! We want to enjoy your game, just like we enjoyed Halo 1 all the way up to reach! (343 is a terrible Halo developer). So please Bungie, look at all the people who want to play this game with even more joy, who want to make this game even better so that they can finally tell their friends "Yes, Destiny is an awesome game!", Rather than beat down on you, we are trying to help. We all know these additions to the game seem unrealistic, but we aren't expecting them out instantly. To me, even any sort of acknowledgment is appreciated. EDIT: Please try to help me spread this post! I want as many people to see this as possible! EDIT 2: Although I do agree that spamming it was not necessary, I still believe that Bungie needs to notice this. EDIT 3: If we made one thread about it, everyone would just skip over it, but again spamming isn't necessary. ___________________________________________ V LIPTAK V
http://kotaku.com/setsession?r=http%3A%2F%2Fkotaku.com%2Fsounds-like-destinys-next-dlc-will-be-way-less-cruel-1681687446&sessionId=16f2a63f-ea14-430f-8c24-b16e5cf53def Alrighty guys, I posted this on a lot of forums in the past five minutes. Take the time and read. It may be dedicated to the new dlc but it's bringing up a lot of in-game problems to date. Really worth the read
Karzakal
It is constructive criticism, just implemented in the worst possible way. What better way to invalidate a cause than to spam it in everyone's faces? Sad thing is I'm sure you'd have a lot more people on board with the ideas in that post if it weren't spammed all over the forums. It could of had the most likes ever in a forum post (constructive, yet respectful), but it settled for annoying a sizable portion of the community (constructive, but completely rude).
Kirito
I made a post called, " The Update We'll Never Get! ". It got around 100 or more likes and bumps. Guess what ? Bungie deleted it and I was met with Ninja Justice. This is what happens when we want change ?
Looks like Bungie had deleted all of these posts, shows us how much they really care... I'm glad people stopped commenting, I was getting tired of these notifications.

  • They never delete hate posts or crap that's in the wrong section but they make sure to delete threads from people who are fed up and just want to be heard. Yet they still have the nerve to say that they listen to the community. Even if they actually do, theyre making it seem like they dont.

This isn't the Bungie we used to know. This isn't the Bungie that did the Hump Day challenges against the community every week. This isn't the Bungie that gives special items away on 7/7. This isn't the Bungie the did the Bungie vs. The World playlist back in Halo 3. Marty is gone. Joseph Staten is gone. Frankie is gone. (he's pretty much being used as a poster child at 343 to try and assure the Halo community that it's "still Halo") The old writer of the weekly updates, Urk (RIP in peace) has not been heard from in years. Frankly, this isn't the Bungie that listens to their community anymore. DeeJ is a poor attempt by Bungie to make us think they care. But his silence on the critical issues being raised on this forum on a daily basis is proof of Bungie's indifference towards us. Did (most of us) buy the game, and therefore make Bungie and Activision money? Yes. Will (most of us) end up buying all the expansions and Destiny 2? Yes (don't lie. Despite all the bitching, i'm sure most of the forum will keep buying these things) We're making them money, and that's all they care about. I feel sorry for those who were too young or on different consoles during Bungie's prime. As a 7 year veteran of this forum, I can tell you that it didn't used to be like this. Bungie used to listen. Bungie used to care about us. But, as all things do, they've changed. And not for the better. (can't wait to see if this gets deleted or not)

      • Eh, 343's got heart atleast, I mean honestly, who else would've taken up halo? And besides, Bungie isn't really Bungie anymore, or Atleast, not the same people who made halo 1-Reach. ALOT of the major and most influential Bungie players have left, so one question I'd like to ask to everyone is: If Bungie was given back Halo, what would change? Would they make Halo exactly like they've always done, or have they lost their whimsy? Given the direction 343 has gone, I think things turned out okay-ish. I'm a little iffy on mechanics and multiplayer, mainly because I was wishing for a simple return to halo 2 multiplayer, but just looking at halo 4's story I can say for sure that they're heading the right direction in that department.

        • I feel the one thing about Bungie people don't think about at is that Bungie believes in Destiny the way it is, because if they didn't they would have made it differently. You gotta expect our criticisms to take time be get implemented, not because of development, but because those guys probably don't agree with us. If Bungie did agree with us on the ideas we have, than they would have been in the game from the start. Luke Smith did acknowledge our criticisms about exotics resetting when upgraded, he addressed the issue with shards on CE, and vendor gear making our raid armour useless the moment the DLC went live. I personally feel that of we continue to show our support for change than the developers will see it and those changes will come. We just can't expect them to see things our way overnight.

          • We as a community appreciate what Bungie has done in creating Destiny. We merely want to help Bungie refine this enjoyable game. They created a forum page for players to express concerns and open dialogue for feedback and that's a great idea. These are not complaints they are topics for discussion. Destiny is meant for a ten year lifespan and will naturally evolve over that time. This forum is a tool for that process and the players are trying to voice their concerns. Not all improvements are valid but I would say most can be evaluated, that is what we as a community request.

          • Agree with you 99%... I haven't played Destiny in a few weeks - so I guess I did technically quit. I'm still holding onto a glimmer of hope that Bungie will make the necessary changes to regain my interest. Guess I'll check back next week. Haha

          • Wrong. These posts are deleted by forum MODS (ninjas) not bungie employees. And thats because they are spam. Plain and simple. No other way about it. A sarcastic wishlist is all it is. Granted, these are things that really would make the game better, but you are going about it the wrong way. One would argue that 'this is the only way to get bungies attention' - nope. Look at past patches and updates. Those changes were made without stale copy pasta being spammed everywhere.
