A question about the "Crux of Crota"
I am a level 31 (all classes - Hunter, Titan, and Warlock). All my characters have the Eidelon Ally maxed out to where I only need the Crux of Crota. I have never done a raid or played in any crucible matches (both VOG and Crotas End and yes, I've had this game since day one). I've gotten to my level by doing all of the story, quests, bounties, strikes and by purchasing gear (weapons and armor were all bought, except exotics). My question to anyone is, in order to upgrade my Eidelon Ally for all characters, will I have to break down and do the Crotas End raid (on hard even) or is there another way to get the Crux of Crota?

Nope. It only drops from beating crota on hard and even then it will probably take 15000000 times before you get it because the chance of it dropping is less likely then the vex or an exotic bounty. You have got better chance of getting a legendary from a blue engram. So good luck.

Only way known so far is getting it from crota on hard. Pretty sure it'll stay that way too
