Welcome to hard mode Crota...you will require zero lag.

I'd first initially like to state that I am very pleased that Bungie decided to patch all cheeses prior to releasing the hard mode. It makes us realize who could and couldn't legitimately do the raid. But that's not what this post is truly about, it's about the insane amount of glitches/lag issues that come with Crota that could have and should be fixed. I'll start first with all of the [b]glitches[/b] that my team has encountered over the hours of attempting hard Crota. 1. [b]The disappearance of the sword[/b] This is pretty self explanatory, but after countless times of downing the swordbearer I would run to grab it and "poof." Sword disappeared guys, wipe. http://gfycat.com/PoshIllEarthworm 2. [b]Crota cheeses you[/b] This is a very rare occurrence but at times we would have Crota fall down into the middle. After this occurs you can basically say that "Crota broke his chain." Why? He will run up the stairs and into the starting room. He free romes wherever he wants to go, he doesn't rotate sides. That's a wipe. http://youtu.be/mbvOe2EsYEA 3. [b]Ogre phase? What ogre phase?[/b] We had times where the ogre phase wouldn't occur on time nor would a swordbearer spawn. We linked this to everyone being on high ground ledges in the starting room. Normally thralls will spawn all around you which was the reasoning for getting on high ground in the first place. If the ogre phase is delayed like this, you can basically count on having a second ogre phase and having to wipe. I don't know if this is a bug, but it needs to be fixed. 4. [b]You took Crota's shield down? Nope![/b] I don't know if this is linked with lag issues or something else, but we've had it where his shield is literally gone. Non existant and he stays up. He's immune to all damage (rocket damage and sword damage) until his shield recovers. 5. [b]Crota is down, but wait...[/b] I've had issues where Crota is still able to swing at you even though he is down. His shield is down, he is taking damage from the sword. He decides he's going to kill you while he's downed. I'm upset by this because they ignore the issues that would help us in the raid, and focused all there attention on the cheesing. The next part has to do with [b]lag[/b] that will ultimately make the raid unbeatable. During our first session of fighting Crota I was only getting 3 smash hits in on each down. I figured it must have been normal (maybe he stayed down shorter because it's hard mode?). That definately wasn't the case. And before someone says I didn't get to him quickly enough, I used invisible hunter while standing next to him. Ultimately this makes the raid almost unbeatable. Why? It takes 18 smashes to kill Crota. It takes 15 smashes to enrage Crota. Basically what I'm saying is if you have any lag whatsoever don't expect to finish the raid. Why is there lag though? Because instead of Bungie creating designates servers for everyone to connect to, we have to connect to our own party members connection. You have to find a host that everyone can connect to perfectly or you're screwed. We all know that if one person lags, you're whole team lags (except the person lagging? Lol). Instead of Bungie spending more money to create servers (god forbid they spend more than they have to even though they milked us for content that was originally not dlc!), we have to rely on a perfect host. What I'm getting at is you better hope your not playing with someone across the world with mediocre internet. Not only that but you have to have someone who can hold 5 other people's connections instead of everyone connecting to one server. I'm sorry not all of us can afford perfect Internet to play your imperfect game. There should be Destiny servers that we connect to, not connecting to a friend. Any other feedback is welcome. Please share if you've had any of the same issues or had any different glitch issues and I will add it in! Thanks for reading. Edit 1: Another issue was brought to my attention that Crota was killing him while he was invisible standing next to him. I brought this issue up in one of my past posts where enemies are able to see and hurt you while invisible which needs to be fixed! Another issue needing to be addressed is when Crota is moving he is basically impervious to damage. We had a team of 3 people shoot 2 rockets a piece at him while he was rotating and he wouldn't take any of the damage. Edit 2: Another issue I was reminded of was the Knights coming through the barriers before the start of the Crota fight. This also reminds me of an issue when the ogres spawned in late and we were on middle platform waiting for swordbearer and thralls on the inside of the barrier could hit us through it! Edit 3: Issue where Crota is completely dead (aka all 18 hits were hit on him), health bar completely gone, and died to oversoul. Wiped regardless of the fact that he was dead. Edit 4: bug where "boomers" are able to shoot through the floor of the tower where ogres spawn. I've experienced this in the omnigul strike where a boomer shoots you through the wall. Bump this up to keep it where it belongs!

  • So with lag it can still be cheesed!!! They didn't fix anything!!! Stop sucking c0ck in the first part of your post then going anal on them in the rest!!!! You are an idiot!!!! If you ever take a short cut in life or the faster route to save time then you cheesed. It is a video game. Let go of cheesers. We cheese and we beat it legit. We just choose the faster route to victory. Don't be mad.
