Alright, well so far my team has beaten Crota on Hard Mode 4 times, and will probably be doing it again later, so for those of you still struggling, I'm here to explain our entire strategy to you to help you through. Before the fight: One thing that my team does that I haven't seen a lot of people do is make orbs [b]BEFORE[/b] the encounter starts for the Sword Wielder. The way we do this? Simple. If we have an extra Titan, we have them place their Bubble in the center platform where Crota spawns (closer to the right side) to generate 2 orbs. Also, any Warlocks with Fireborn (self-resurrect) should stand near the right side, jump out of the map, and revive themselves. Although it doesn't notify you, you spawn 1 orb upon resurrection. The fight begins: The next thing you need to do is make sure you have at least one Titan with Blessing of Light. This should be activated as soon as you're able to see your Tracker in the upper left corner after Crota spawns (approximately 1 second before barrier breaks). Any Blade Dancers should have Razor's Edge selected and activate their Super shortly after the crystal is activated. They can use their special ability (RT for Xbox, unknown for PS) and swipe at the barrier to kill Acolytes on the other side. If enough are killed, an orb (or 2) can spawn and it helps the others too. Don't forget to [b]KILL EVERYTHING[/b]. You will need to return to these rooms later. After everything is killed, do not go outside until everyone says they are ready and has enough health. Leaving the room causes the Sword Bearer to spawn, and you want everyone on him at once. When everyone is ready, go outside and around and jump to the middle platform ledge. Start killing the Sword Bearer as soon as he comes out and [b]DON'T KILL BOOMERS[/b]. When he gets to about half health, your Sword Wielder should jump down and be ready to pick up the Sword. Sword Wielder Only: [b]DO NOT ATTACK ANYTHING[/b]. This will cause the Boomers to aggro you and shoot at you. When the Sword is dropped, grab it and hug the wall on the right until you get to the rock. If you are a Hunter, crouch and go invisible. As soon as you turn invis/are ready, give the signal to down Crota. Jump up now if you're a Hunter. Everyone else: When the signal is given, everyone launch a rocket and start shooting with other guns until he is down. This should take less than 4 seconds. Sword Wielder gets 3 hits. Hunter drops the Sword and uses Blink Strike on Crota to go invisible with Escape Artist. Pick the Sword back up and as soon as he is down again (rockets should be fired after a couple seconds of the orange glow around Crota) get another three hits. If you have the Super (from the orbs) use it after the third smash. After that run, everyone bails [b]LEFT[/b] (because Crota goes right) and a Titan places his Bubble right in the doorway to protect from Boomers. When you go back inside, regain health, use a synth, or whatever you need to do, just try to stay in the middle room because Sword Bearer will wander left/right depending on where you are. When Crota goes back to middle, do what you just did and this time bail [b]RIGHT[/b]. Do not get too many hits with the sword because Crota will automatically ENRAGE with about 3-4 hits left. This time when you get back inside, Thrall will spawn after awhile, so don't let them surprise you (they literally spawn in the room with you). When Ogres spawn, do whatever you can to take them down as quick as possible. If another Titan has Weapons of light, use them. Just be very careful in dealing with Ogres. You can have someone aggro them from crystal room to help. After the Ogres are killed, you're in the final stretch. Wait for Crota to go back to middle (if he is already in middle and has been for several seconds, wait until he moves and comes back, you WILL have time. Now, you do exactly what you've been doing since the beginning. Kill the Sword Bearer and wait for Crota to be downed. After this, he WILL be enraged. [b]DO NOT SHOOT AT THE OVERSOUL[/b]. Your only objective now is to down Crota once more for your Sword Wielder to get the last 1-2 hits. This can easily be done before the Oversoul finishes.
