Thorn Bounty is FUKING stupid
Okay, this is why i deleted it the first time i got it. I dont do crucibles. Thats...back in like november.
Im about to delete it again because......well....I DONT HAVE ANY GODDAMN VOID DAMAGE SHIT!!! Its so stupid. Can we change that to Solar or Arc? Something EVERYONE has? I know theres a ton of people who have no void weaponry and are STUCK on this shit bounty.
Commentors, dont reply "quit bitching", "stop whining", "baby huntard got mad" or anything along those lines. Just leaving my feedback on what i think is the stupidliest bounty. Bad Juju i can cope with, 10,000 crucible points. Not a problem. Il just wait til iron banner to bang those out.
But this Void thing ain gonna cut it. I dont have the means to buy a void weapon good enough to kill Guardians in any crucible. I have little crucible mark and i spend Vanguard marks on materials that i need to upgrade my arsenal.
And no i dont want to wait til Xür sells thorn or bad juju. I want to finish these bounties so i can say "i EARNED this" instead of "i acquired this".

It took me a while to finish this bounty; finished it today actually. I got luck enough and pulled the corrective measure from VOG on my second completion. Leveled that sucker up and used that and Aetheons epilogue plus a blue void shotgun. It's possible and I would give myself a 6/10 in crucible. It's doable but yeah, you need to get some void weapons. Stick to it, man. Thorn is worth it.

Xur won't sell Thorn or Bad Juju. Those come from bounties only. And the points for bad juju aren't as you think. You get so many points for each class you kill. You're mistaken if you think you're gonna play 1 iron banner match where you get 2000 points and get it after 5 matches. Trust me I have it and it doesn't take long so if you have it, bang it out really quick because it's not hard.

I honestly I can't believe you threw out that bounty. You get one of the best guns in the game at least in my opinion and yeah I'll admit I'm a bit biased because it's my favorite gun. But still yeah that bounty was annoying yeah it took a long time was it worth it? Hell yeah dude this gun hits hard in good hands next time you get that bounty do it and love it and love thorn

In fact, I wish the other bounties followed a more challenging path of acquisition, as I feel the rest of them are too easy to get. They have easily achievable goals with no consequences. That's what sets the Thorn bounty apart, that it has consequences for poor performance. Don't like it? Abandon it. Move on to some other easy bounty that you don't have to invest any real effort in completing. You can say you earned that one instead.

Xur won't be selling them. They're bounties. He's never sold an exotic bounty weapon. And how do you not have any void damage weapons? Damage ratings don't matter in the crucible. Go buy a green or blue special/heavy from the gunsmith and use it in the crucible. Or save one you get from an in-game drop. Come on, this bounty is not that difficult.

You don't need a legendary or exotic weapon to get kills in normal Crucible because the attack values are normalized. So either buy a void weapon with some glimmer, buy a void weapon with some marks, or delete the bounty and never now how awesome Thorn is. [/spoiler]

2 RepliesDo it. It's worth it. I absolutely hate crucible. Not only that but the only Void weapon I owned was Praedyth's Revenge. Yup, you read that right. 6 hours of camping and sniping on Control. Getting my ass kicked to begin with. Sometimes finishing a whole friggin game only to have accumulated 5 points. My teammates hated me. I screamed. Squeezed my controller so hard it almost broke. Stomped me feet. Swore at the TV through gritted teeth. 6 hours. But it was worth it. So worth it. A maxed out Thorn is THE best Hand Cannon in the game and I have Fatebringer and The Last Word maxed out as well. This gun WRECKS. DOT is so sick. Just do it man. The bounty sucks, but that'll only make you appreciate it more. Thorn is life, but you gotta earn it.

Bungie should ensure that every type of special and heavy weapon has a void version for sale. With that said, you can get through this with the LMG that the Vanguard currently sells and a rare Void fusion rifle with a decent charge rate. So, grind for marks to buy the LMG and hopefully as you build up those, you'll get a decent Void Fusion rifle.

Atheons eplilogue, LDR or preadeaths revenge, and truth or any other void heavy. Literally finished the crucible part in like 5 games or less. Its hard for scrubs who dont save guns for purposes such as this and nightfalls, but its easy as shit if your actually good. Its one of the best guns in the game im glad that not any scrub can pick it up in a day.
