Any way to adjust HUD opacity to prevent plasma burn-in?

Destiny looks gorgeous on my plasma TV, but the static HUD components in the lower-left of the screen are full opacity and have started to cause a bit of image retention/burn-in on my TV. I know from past experience that it will eventually go away once I stop playing the game as much, but it could be easily fixed by allowing players to turn down the opacity on static HUD elements. Is there any way to do this? If not, can this post count as a feature request?

I can attest that the HUD display HAS in fact burned it's image into my plasma TV and I cannot make it go away! I've not played Destiny in over a month for this very reason in hopes that the image retention would disappear. It has faded some compared to what it was in the beginning but it's still visible on solid colored screens, especially white. In this day and age ALL video games need to give us the option to adjust the opacity of the HUD displays for this very reason! I know plasma displays have been discontinued but there are still a lot of us who are gaming on them!
