Cabal Raid: Operation Thermopylae (Unfinished)

This post may turn out to be quite lengthy, and maybe some errors because I'm writing this at school on my phone, so be prepared to sacrifice some of your precious attention to hear my newest idea. If it is unfinished, feel free to give any feedback. Perhaps in any free time you may have, thanks in advance! If you have ever taken a World History class, you've most likely been rigorously informed about Ancient Greek Mythology. Mythology is simply a fantasy based historical element that a particular people pride their cultures upon. Ancient Greece is the best possible example for a people that rely on mythology to form their religion, which in turn formed their culture. The two most popularly known aspects of Greek mythology are Mount Olympus, and the 300 Spartans defending the Thermopylae pass against tens of thousands of Persian Empire legions from conquering their homeland. These 300 legends are my inspiration for Operation Thermopylae, a raid preferably but could turn to be a strike. A lot of people have been invading the forums about how they intense wars with swarms of enemies and utter chaos all around you... honestly just pay Battlefield, but that game is pretty difficult to master and not preferred by everybody, obviously. Below is my rundown as to how my raid will play out, with some script suggestions mixed in. So without further ado, Operation Thermopylae. Upon one of Bungie's random and highly anticipated updates, a new opportunity will arise on the mission to patrol the red planet of Mars. The door to the military complex, the one you explore when you first encounter the Cabal, has reopened. As an event that is only available the 15 of every month, this will prove to add much more to not the story of the game of Destiny, but rather to the development of the bond between you and your most beloved guardian. The small light upon its keypad now shines green and bright, waiting for the ambitious explorer to discover what lies behind it. As you close in on the door, you hear faint noises of Cabal soldiers within, rambling to each other about who knows what. As you step closer, the keypad explodes to life, and the noises seize... almost too quickly. Not a single decibel of noise creeps from the corridor as you hesitate on how you plan to press on, ghost begins to respond to this occurrence... "We're definitely going in there... please, please, please." Your guardian replies, "Chill out, let's take this slow. This is new... really new." "Uh, yeah. So, let's go. I scanned the door after the voices stopped and there's...well, nothing. It's totally clear, and as I remember this door has been sealed permanently after our previous incursion here. You remember, right?" "Oh, yeah. That time we barged in and hacked they're network, attracting all that attention. In which I quickly dispat-" "-Yeah, yeah okay. Let's go." He lets out a small sigh, "Alright... let's do this." He pushes the button, and the door lets out a raspy hiss and exhausts white smoke from its frames. The hiss and the smoke become silent, and after a brief moment... the door eerily cracks open. Smoke seeps through the doorway, and a faint red light retreats into the corridor. "...hey, d'you see that?" The guardian curiously asks his ghost as it transmaterializes itself in front of him. "...my scans are next to impossible to deceive...yet, we are not alone my friend. It's faint, but I feel darkness beyond this door." "Next to impossible, would've been useful to know beforehand." The guardian remarks as he carefully opens the door and steps into the room, weapon in hand. "Oh please... I know! I'll bring the manual before our next mission, the one titled 'Ghosts for Dummies', would that help at all?" "Cute. Seeing anything? Because I can't thanks to whatever this smoke is coming from." He proceeds through the halls and the rooms, each desolate except for the smoke which dominated every inch of the complex. After rigorous search, he entered one last room, and a strange red light shined brightly through the cracks. The guardian approaches and takes a knee; he whispers, "Ghost... scan this room here. And double check this time." "I did...and before you ask yes, twice, you jerk." "...and!?" He growls. "It's a chest full of loot!" The ghost snickered towards his attempt at humor. The guardian stared at him, still awaiting his response. "Okay, no. It's a great big nothing in there. This place is just nothingness, let's go." The guardian slowly looked in the direction of the light, hesitates, and steadily crept towards the door, weapon armed and aimed front. No noise flickered about in the room, only a strange light, its source unknown. But then... "Your scanners won't work in hear, guardian." Said a familiar voice. "Wait..." The guardian kicks the door open and barrels in... and a familiar face arises from the far side of the room, hand cannon raised and the hammer pulled. Ghost reappears, "Nice to see you again, just kidding, not really-" The guardian pushes ghost behind him, "-tell me, why is the queen's brother so far from home?" Weapon still aimed straight his heart, and still unwavering between whether or not this Awoken hunter is friend or foe. He lowers his hand cannon, and shows an antagonizing smirk on his face. "A crow's gotta fly now and then; you sure scare easy, for a Gate Lord slayer." He closes in on the guardian, who refused to lower his guard. "How about you tell me something, what brings you here to this newly accursed place?" Staring directly into the guardian's helm. Ghost moves forward, "We were concerned of some suspicious activity... perhaps you could aid us in relieving our curiosity?" The guardian nods his head, "Rather than be a di-" "-Not now." Ghost interrupts "Ah... and where is your suspicion placed now, Ghost?" He closes in further onto the guardian. "Here and there." Ghost utters nervously. The guardian, still armed, and the brother lock glares. Hesitantly, the guardian finally lowers his guard. "What choice do we have but to place it all in why this place is 'accursed'?" The brother smiles, "Poor choice, you never know when I may slip my knife between your eyes. Especially after our last engagement, guardian." "Don't get too cocky." Guardian retaliated. Ghost casually floats between them, "Girls, please, I understand that we altogether want answers. He's right, my sensors are scattered." The brother lets out a small sigh and proceeds towards an object with red light emitting from it. "And this, is our answer. Ironically, it only gives us more questions." The guardian looks at his ghost, "Whatever it is, we should bring it to the tower, Ghost." The brother stands fast, "Nonsense, we can get a much better analysis at the Reef, you imbeciles." "Really, much better than the Traveler?" Ghost says as he floats near the hunter's face. He growls at the little white automaton, "Your Traveler is nothing but a giant ball in the sky that's been dormant for years. You have nothing, deal with it. It's coming with me, and if you try to stop me, I'll fulfill one of my darkest dreams about you, guardian." "So, you dream about me?" The guardian remarks. The queen's brother attempts to lift the object, "Quite often, I mean you only barged into my sister's throne room..." He quickly steps and gets into the guardian's face, ..."and made the biggest fool of myself, than I've ever conceived myself of being, right in front of her... twice. I hate you." He then switched his attention back to the object, and successfully lifted it off the ground. "...Wait, this is a helmet. One by those fat savages that occupy this planet now." "A helmet?" The guardian and the ghost said simultaneously. The hunter places it on a nearby table, as it rested upon its top the legs squeaked rather unpleasantly. "It's heavier than normal, and it's of Cabal craft...oh, and as in matter of fact, this is what has jammed my scanners all this time. "Like I said." The hunter points towards a marking, "I know this crest... impossible." The guardian moves in to examine the crest, "Care to explain...?" The hunter lets out a soft sigh, "The Cabal have their regular squads scouting the surface, their more elite guarding their strongholds, and then their officers hidden away in those titanic machines." He looks at the guardian, "But then there's them..." The ghost floats towards the queen's brother in suspense, "You're heart rate's increased." "And for good reason, little light." He steps away from the table and paces back and forth throughout the room. Ghost looks over at its guardian, "Why, why does everyone call me that?" "Isn't it obvious?" The guardian says under his breath. "So, who's them-" Spontaneously, the helmet's red light grew brighter before their eyes, and the sounds of dropships and giant metal boots clambering along the overhead dunes and cliffs outside the complex began to sound off all around them. "Well this is oddly familiar..." This is continued onto another post...
