What is your opinion on the duration of the Blade Dancer super?
Does it seem too overpowered in crucible?
Is this balanced for its PVE effect?

It's definitely powerful, but not too over powered. I consider it on par with other supers because they all have potential to kill several targets with the correct skill... Or when you panic, minus the gunslinger, you can't really survive long if you use the gunslinger as a panic super

Edited by Draoguh: 1/2/2015 6:19:36 PMSUPERs in general should be disabled in PvP. A Barebones game-mode would be incredible in this game.

The problem with the Hunter Supers are that they give the ability for the players to activate and move around in search of more kills. None of the other classes abilities have this option and both of the Hunter's supers have these abilities. Titan has a "Panic Super" and a Defensive Super, Warlocks have a "Panic Super" and a Defensive Super (Sunsinger), and the Hunters have two purely aggressive supers that can allow them to more around and pretty much get 2-3 kills with their super every time while the other classes must use their abilities smart in order to consistently get that amount of kills. All this is coming from a Hunter whose 50% Damage Reduction while Bladedancing never seems to activate as I always get oneshot by shotgun and Titan Punches while Bladedancing.

Needs a bit of a damage resistance buff in pve It's fine in pvp

Edited by BarnicleBarn: 1/2/2015 5:58:56 PMShotgun, melee, dead blade dancer on smaller maps. On bigger maps back up and rain headshots. 20%+ of the time you'll drop them. There is no other super in the game where you have those kinds of odds of stopping them after activation. It needs a buff if anything, and this is from someone who doesn't play a hunter.

Edited by TRDoug: 1/1/2015 10:32:57 PMAs a 222 hour blade dancer we are NOT OP. A titan can melee me in the middle of two or three blade strikes, kill me and walk away with full health and some shield left. A Warlock can scortch melee and kill me before I can strike and take me out. Titans get force barrier and that harder to kill during fist of havoc perk. Warlocks get an over shield, can come back from the dead and are harder to kill during nova bomb....... Hunters have no such perk. Like I said in an other post...... STOP NERFING EVERYTHING!!! NERF YOURSELFS!!

Fusion rifle. Problem solved
-
Yeh I think it's fine...all supers are op...or in other words effective...wen used right...I use blade dancer and here is a tip....if we come into a room immediately spread out and fire like crazy...if two guardians get sustained fire on me I'll go down pretty quick....also shot guns...I've killed plenty of blade dancers by hitting with my auto rifle as they approach then switching to my shot gun as they close in....u have to remember also that u can't just activate blade dancer in a panic like some of the other supers can be...it has to be thought out and done in the right area...like any effective use of a super
-
I'm a hunter but I think it's fine. People complain because with the close combat in pvp if everyone's in one area it's several kills. But on spread out maps it's a bit iffy.
-
Nope it's fine because if you just melee you can only get 4-5 kills and that's if everyone is in close proximity which means you can easily get shot and die. Nuff said
-
It is but I don't really care, I'm a hunter and don't really like blade dancer
-
It's underpowered you can easily 2 hit kill them with a shotgun
-
If you think it is so OP, why don't you try and use it? I have played against people who SUCKED at using Blade Dancer. I was able to just get a good fusion rifle blast and finish the job.
-
Too long imo
-
Eh I think they just need to not auto target people you should have to have the person in your crosshairs not just spam the melee button and jump from kill to kill. Other than that seems just as op as every super should feel
-
I think it's fine the way it is. Every super in the game (besides sunsinger) can counter it (defender depends on how good the Titan is). Shotguns can take it out in about 2-3 shots and you can always run away as well. One thing that a lot of people don't know, is that every time you swipe your blade, you use up super energy. So the more you swipe the faster your super disappears. I think it balances out fairly well.
-
never ceases to amaze me how many people are defending this lol yes shotguns or rockets can give you a problem but not much :/ hungering blade perk is anybody forgetting this? free health perk kill making you the equivalent to rambo on steroids for like 30 seconds lol
-
Definitely overpowered. The time they're given to deal damage is ridiculous, and they consistently wreak more havoc than the Titan's Super and the Warlocks' Supers.
-
All classes are fine, just need to fix the Hunter special to allow it to activate faster...
-
It's just as op as nova Bomb and Foh. People just suck and don't know how to avoid it and then cry to their moms
-
Hunter supers need more power in PvE and less power in PvP. This is coming from a hunter.
-
Nope, I haven't died by Arc Blade in more than a few weeks, I kill them before they get to me
-
You can say this about all of the classes. The titans ground pound is stupid they can take a whole team out with one attack and they can even kill you when your jumping away from him!! And the warlocks big void blast just seems to never end, hoarding kills if you even stray a little to close to it!
What is your opinion on the duration of the Blade Dancer super? Does it seem too overpowered in crucible? Is this balanced for its PVE effect?
I'm a Warlock and I can say that the bladedancer super is underpowered. Unless you know how to use it properly, only battled a few that do, it is so easy to take them down before they get to you.
