If you look above, you'll see a comparison of Found Verdict (left) and Swordbreaker (right). Found Verdict is found in the first Raid, the Vault of Glass, and strikes many similarities with other shotguns in the game. To be honest, the Found Verdict appears to be a bronze-colored shotgun with a few lights on the side.
Now lets look at Swordbreaker. As you can see, this doesn't appear to be much of a re-texture. There are spikes, plated bones, and actual physicality added to the shotgun. To me, this is great. I love the fact that you guys didn't simply re-texture a shotgun with a few green cracks, or something 'flat', but you actually added depth to this shotgun's appearance. It's such a minor difference, yet it somehow means a lot to me.
Another thing that I favor are the perks. The main perk "Hive Disruptor" (if that's what it's called) has more practicality, as it can has can be utilized outside of the raid, unlike previous weapons, where they were only for the raid.
Now, with the House of Wolves Expansion, the Raid will inevitably and obviously be based off the Fallen; and according to this leak, it will take place in the Reef. Seeing the aesthetic transition from Vault of Glass and Crota's End Raid gear, I'd at least hope that you guys would take this further. Perhaps you could make the next raid gear from the ground-up (like exotics) instead of 'placing pieces onto a template.'
Here's another example of 'extra physicality' with the Raid jumpships.

Edited by Failure4Life: 12/31/2014 5:46:22 AMI dislike how the VoG raid weapons are just objectively better than the CE ones are (Black Hammer is an exception). Meaning that the VoG weapons are better for the end game content that wsa available at the time while the CE ones are just "meh". I'll use the shotgun since you have a nice picture of both of them. The Found Verdict's stats are better than Swordbreaker's in every way(FV has a better rate of fire because of the full-auto perk).
