THIS, is why I stopped playing for a month..

[EDIT] This is one of the reasons, not the sole reason I stopped playing. This is a photo of when I started playing again, not a photo of before I stopped playing in case people don't realise that. Furthermore, my issue isn't directly about him getting that gun, he, that player, is not my issue. My issue here (solely crucible loot, PVE loot is an entire debate of it's own), is Destiny doesn't reward the good players for playing good, it doesn't reward the poor players in order to give them a fighting chance in the next match, but it more so just throws loot in the air, and whoever's name it lands on, is whoever gets it. That's my problem with crucible's rewards. Now, in casual crucible modes, I'm not as fussed, but in Iron Banner, the event where Bungie came out and implied it wasn't for the less skilled players, it was a playlist where skill and weaponry/armour mattered, where the best players would come out on top. Why have a playlist dedicated to being the best players, if you'll then throw a reward at the scoreboard and give it to whoever catches it? That, is something I dislike. I could join an Iron Banner game (or any crucible match), rubber band my thumbsticks so my character spins around, play the entire match AFK without getting kicked, and still have the exact same chance of getting good loot as the player who put the effort in to come out on top. I dislike that. It's an example, I don't do it, but other players do, in fact the player who got the exotic referenced in the image above spent most of the game AFK, yet he was the one who got the better, no, ONLY rewards that game, let alone an exotic. Yes, this game I went poorly. (Not to toot my own horn but us Aussies get putrid connection at this hour, which is 2:01am here. Usually I can get a 3KD per game when I'm in a good lobby) But this guy, was appalling. Atrocious. A disgrace to the team. Not trying to insult the guy, but my god, terrible game on his behalf. Yet, not only was he the only one to get loot on our team, but he got THAT!? Rewarded an EXOTIC!? The HARD LIGHT!? I had faith in this game pre-launch when Bungie spoke out about how there'd be no trading system in the game because you wanted us to earn our loot. We'd do something courageous and challenging to earn our exotics, so that we could tell a story behind each one when asked about how we obtained them. What's this guy gonna say? "Yeah, I joined an Iron Banner game late, went roughly 4 and 21 and got this as a reward!" When'll you change this? I mean, it's been a major complaint across all boards since launch, daily there's complaints about your (sorry to be rude) half-assed loot system, yet it remains as is. Oh but hey, you HAD to fix quick-scoping, that was a top priority of course. I mean look if you're clueless as to how to fix your loot system, here's a few tips.. - Enemies under level 20 cannot drop Legendary Engrams. - The chance of enemies dropping each tier of engram increases dependent on their level, the activity and the amount of modifiers (Eg, level 30's with five modifiers within a Weekly Nightfall should have a much higher chance of dropping Legendary Engrams). - Exotic Engrams should actually exist outside of Xûr, that should have at least a 0.1% chance of being dropped by enemies in Weekly Heroics/Nightfalls and Lv26 Strikes. - Xûr should only sell engrams. He should sell an exotic weapon engram and an exotic armour engram, each can only be purchased three times total per Xûr's arrival. He could also sell legendary engrams, purchasable five times, and decoherent engrams, without a purchase limit. Exotics lose their worth and are no longer impressive when every single Guardian owning (example) the Ice Breaker due to Xûr specifically selling it. That's not an impressive story to tell when asked "how'd you get that Ice Breaker?". - [EDIT] I'm not saying the less-skilled players shouldn't receive loot. In my opinion the chance of exotics/legendaries should increase dependent on where you place upon the scoreboard. We shouldn't make it that the worst player shouldn't get loot, but at the same time, we shouldn't then even out the chances for everyone to get exotics and such otherwise why play good? Currently, someone AFK spinning around at spawn the entire game has the EXACT same chance of earning rewards as the top player who plays their heart out from start to finish, that's not fair (in response to those saying it's not fair if the bottom players don't get exotics etc). Why should someone who actually did not play get the same chance at the best rewards? The chances should increase dependent on how well you do. Not making it impossible for last place to get loot, but giving a higher chance for the top player to earn loot respectively. As I said, if I have just as much chance of getting exotics/legendaries for being AFK, then what incentive do I have to play properly? (Other than KD and whatnot, although I'm not overly caring of my KD). - Master Rahool and his store should fall victim to an unfortunate event, where a small meteor strikes the tower, landing right where Rahool and his stall reside, decimating both of them, leaving nothing but his data pad which a friendly robot voiced by Wall-E's voice actor who will then decrypt our engrams from then onward. Take these tips seriously though, they'd improve your game immensely. I for one would play more often. Hopefully this isn't a post that dies off and doesn't get heard out. [EDIT] My percentages for end-game crucible rewards aren't set-in-stone figures, they're just there to represent which player should receive more of a chance and so on. They should most definitely not be that high of a chance, they're just numbers I chose that all people could understand the difference between to see which player should receive more chance over the other and so on. If anything, the highest chance of receiving an exotic should be 0.1% of a chance for first place, then lower respectively. Don't take those example numbers as actual chances that should be used, but just as representations.
