When it comes to competitive aspects of games, cheating is never cool. However, when it comes to the single player or cooperative aspects of a game, it really depends. And with Destiny, who gives a shit? I'm not trying to justify the few times I've cheesed by saying I've already beaten it or that it's faster. But why should I care about a game that doesn't care about us in return? The loot system for this game is absolutely terrible. If I'm going to get nothing for my efforts, I'd rather put no effort so that my rewards match my work. Instead of, you know, doing the whole thing legitimately and getting nothing. The first time I went through, I went with my normal Raid team, and we went in blind. I didn't get anything until we actually beat Crota, where everyone got a weapon of some kind. However, everyone else in my Fireteam got at least one piece of armor. The second time we went through, we cheesed the bridge part, and I got the gloves and boots for various checkpoints, but my friends got even more armor, including helmets, and I didn't get a weapon for beating Crota, while one person got Dragon's Breath from the first chest and another got the Gjallarhorn as an end game reward. This is the freaking Vault of Glass all over again, where my main Raid team was 30 well before me because I didn't get my first piece of armor until my 7th run through, and I had only gotten an Epilogue and Hezen Vengeance (I only just got the VoC a couple weeks ago). And none of us had multiples of the same class, so it wasn't that they were running through with 3 Titans each week. No, we each had our main character that we played as that was the only one of that class we had, and I fell behind. What about the time I made it all the way to Atheon on hard, a few people left and so I invited a couple friends to join in, and the ones who joined in at the last checkpoint are the ones who got the helms and mythoclasts? This was my first time doing the hard raid, and I got nothing for it, while my friend who did very little work jumped in at the end and got everything. I've put a lot of time into this game, and I've wanted to like it, because it's Bungie and Halo is like one of my favorite game series, but the more I play and the more stuff like this happens, the less I care about Bungie and it's game. Maybe if Bungie made it worth while to actually play their game, perhaps more people would do it, but as it stands, there just isn't any incentive to play this game properly.
