Do you think that the Vex are self-aware or are just following a complex set of code that never allows them to freely think. If they do have a biological component, does that indicate that they were created by an organic species or that they used to be an organic species that converted themselves into a mechanical one? I'm interested to see what other people think about this... Edit: It seems like a lot of people are saying they are controlled by one conscious mind. Does that prevent each vex unit from their own self awareness? And does that mean that the one organic mind has self-consciousness itself? Not all organic minds are self-aware and it could function like a highly advanced AI, able to execute complex functions but not be aware of what or why it's doing them.
