I will no longer be running Crota's End with randoms.
Keep in mind that I've cleared Crota's End and killed Crota multiple times, and attempted with countless other groups.
Okay I officially HATE randoms. I've burned through at LEAST 20-30 heavy packs today. Just left a group with one guy who wanted to be relic holder, then he wouldn't jump up till after Crota kneeled so I had to keep telling him "go, go" and even after he got up late he'd try to get in like four hits so I'd have to keep telling him when to leave. After his fifth or sixth death he has the nerve to yell at ME saying "man shut up calm down you're telling me to go and then telling me to get out too fast." Maybe if you weren't such a -blam!-ing moron we would have beat this already. From now on I will not be running Crota's End unless it's with my main group or people who I know are competent. If you have a group of friends who are willing to show you the ropes that's one thing. But if you're going to look for a group on the forums, PLEASE know what you're doing.
Edit 1: There seems to be some confusion, I should alter my above statement. If you're going to look for a group on the forums and you don't have experience, at least state in your post that you don't, so those who are willing to show you the ropes can do so. I'm referring to people who get to 31 so they have a better chance of getting picked for raids and then get in and ask "what's an Oversoul?"
Edit 2: Lots of people are saying "it only came out two weeks ago, stop being a dick" or "you were a noob once too." Yeah, no shit. But I ran it with a group who were AWARE that I had no experience, and were willing to help. There's no problem with not having any experience, just find a group that is willing to take you in. But don't post on the forums like you're an experienced player and then bring down a group that's trying to get through it quickly by causing 10+ wipes. Guardian tears collected - over 9000.
Edit 3: I see that despite all the butthurt there are some like-minded people on this thread who are as sick of this stuff as I am. If you're on PS4 and experienced add me, PSN is shotgun42.

9 RepliesI HATE randoms. I typed up destiny LFG specifically saying "experienced only". We are 30 minutes through and Croat hasn't taken any real damage. So another wipe later I grab chalice and what do I see? A -blam!-ing scrub shooting at crota thinking he was taking -blam!-ing damage! I ask him why did he join if he had no experience when I specifically said know what you are doing. His reply was "don't be a dick". I lost my shit after that. I kicked him from fire team after barraging him with curses and humiliation. -blam!-ing. Hate. Randoms.

Completed it over 10 times with my friends and ransoms. I was the sword guy, so I knew when and what to do. But I am starting to understand your statement. I also starting to hate playing with ransoms. Now most of my friends or recent people want me in their CE because they don't have a good sword guy like me or the person that I learn the method. It's pretty simple to use the sword. But I totally understand the frustration. I also don't like playing with randoms in Strike as well.

When I heard "f--k splitting up, let's just run out there and start killing sh!t and see what happens" I got the hell outta there. I have NEVER ran a VOG or CE with the same people. Always diffrent. Keeps things intreasting. But yes I can see that the pay off isn't worth it when people don't know what they are doing.

Everyone's been there. However, after countless wipes, people start becoming impatient. Don't wait till then to tell them the good news. It won't magically solve the problem.

5 RepliesI don't even bother with the frustration of raids anymore. What's the point when I can buy 32 or 33 armor in the next DLC? I'd rather stay 31 & continue having fun elsewhere in the game

My only problem with Randy Randomson is when you ask, "Do you know what you're doing? Have you completed this yet?" and they answer, "Yes." 60 seconds later they're lost in the Darkness asking why they can't sprint. That's when I return to Orbit and boot from Fireteam. My patience is thin and my time is limited. Pun intended... I think lol. Call me an asshole, a prick, an elitist I don't give a shit. If someone ask you about your experience in something, man up and tell the truth. If you're a newb so be it. I'll know what I'm getting into before hand and proceed accordingly. I don't mind helping newbs. I was a newb once. We all are/were. Just don't go saying you're experienced just to get into a raid expecting to be carried or something and then fail miserably and repeatedly.

If I'm not raiding with my regular group, I don't burn ammo synths. Random groups have too many unknowns, and if they keep failing I'd rather not waste money on top of the time already wasted.

2 RepliesI know what you mean bruh. Like...when I run the raid I need at least 2 other people with Gally cause I run sword and that drops him instantly so I can get in my 4-5. But then these peeps invite me and all they got is a truth or regular vanguard launcher or a BLUE rocket launcher or NOT EVEN a launcher and then they can never take his shield down and I have to be a dick and leave because I ain't got time for that shit and I wouldn't be getting rewards anyways cause I've beaten him like 12 times already so yeah. Improperly equipped teams are my bane. Or when there's that ONE GUY who thinks he's hot shit and is telling everyone what to do but he's level 30 and doesn't wanna run Sword lol If you're bringing me on to run sword for you, shit gets done MY WAY.
