Finding the husk of the pit (tip)
I've witnessed quite a few people log hours into "farming for the husk" and i just wanted to point some things out.
Doing the fist of crota mission over and over again might seem promising but you are wasting your time. Yes, it can be obtained by this method but if you arent the lucky type, you could be here for hours, accomplishing absolutely nothing. Yes, i know people who got it on the first couple attempts, but i also know people who logged 4+ hours repeating the beginning of the fist of crota mission to no avail.
I never bought into the hype. I have enough other things on this game to focus on. For example: i need plasteel plating to upgrade my new titan's gear...
So after already deciding to not waste a second on the hunt for the husk, there i was, on the moon farming helium/engrams for plasteel plating. (I like to kill multiple birds with a single stone. Im barbaric like that.) Anyways i farmed for about an hour and got plenty of helium and plenty of plasteel plating.
my route is on archers line and it intersects with the area that the blades of crota spawn, so i killed them whenever they were there and practiced my perfected sword combos from grinding the crota fight as the sword bearer. Was there about an hour, got back to tower and had the husk in my postmaster. could have got it in the first 5 minutes for all i know.
There are things you can accomplish while hunting for the husk. Thats all im saying. Do it on patrol moon or patrol earth. Dont waste your time on the fist of crota. thanks for your time and consideration. :) happy holidays

2 RepliesCongrats on wasting your time getting the base version of a sub-par gun. Necrochasm sucks, just like the rest of the dlc exotics. Vendor bought " For the People ", and a couple of the CE guns are the only guns that are equal to or better than base game guns. Sad face.

A friemd of mine just pulled the husk twice in a row at the same spot on the moon. literally back to back blades of crota kills. Some people have nice rng luck haha

1 ReplyFiat of crota is a good mission to run a lot of bounties on. So i quit farming it unless i have bounties. Then i do any there that i can. Still no husk though

2 RepliesGot mine after 4 tries doing the fist if crota. What youre saying is no "tip" to find it. Blades of crota drop it. Point. Best way is still doing fist of crota mission

1 ReplyIve gotten this 3 times so far from the fist of crota. I usually take care of a few bounties while i'm at it. Its a fast way to get the 3 Blades of Crota one as well as killing 15 hive with a blade of crota. Also pretty handy for getting those multiple kills with fusion rifle or secondary weapon.

I combine the Fist of Crota mission farming with the Eris bounties: kill hive from behind, throwing knife precision etc and when those are done I get out. Took a few days buy finally got a husk

3 RepliesI don't know about this. I did the fist of crota five times and got it. Then when I did some Eris bounties (killing hive from behind and killing blades of Crota) I got it on my second run through on fist of Crota. I feel like this is the best option because if you run by the first enemies right to the blade of Crota it's quick and guaranteed to be there.

its just completely random. all you need is to kill blades of crota and pray to the RNG god. if you just sit in an area and hut blades of credit while on patrol and you feel good about it do it if you want to do it during a particular mission to try to get the hustle them do it. Whatever makes the player feel like they're doing something in accomplishing something then do it.

3 RepliesDidn't realize it can be something from the postmaster too? I didn't know I had one until I finished patrolling and stuff around the Moon. The way to get it is basically just kill the Blades of Crota mini event that happens. I just kill it when I see it paying no attention to what I get... I just love the sword and its shock wave Super

1 ReplyI have a better tip i have the husk aswell, easiest way to get it is by doing fist of crota mission over n over about 5-7 times if you dont get it giveup for abit do other tasks then go back.for the people sayin black wax idols must be used are wrong they dont increase chances.

3 attempts of actually trying for it on first mission. Overall kills. Maybe 15-20 total. Killing for bounties

3 RepliesFighting more Blades of Crota in a mission vs doing patrol I wouldn't consider a waste of time. I know for sure I am going to be killing one of these dudes each time I do the mission. As for patrolling for one of those guys, that seems like too long of a process, even if you're farming for materials I can just buy.
