I am getting sick and tired of it! I know for some it is because they just played it which is fair enough..but every time it pops up for me both people leave. Surely this can't be a coincidence?
All I want to try and get is a legendary ship or a couple of engrams for some motes/coins.
Also don't bring any "elitist" bs into here by saying "just solo it hurrr durr I'm great". It puts you in a fireteam for a reason.
It just gets on my nerves because I really like the ROC version :(

Edited by NateOrb: 12/20/2014 4:46:36 PMIts full of majors/ultras that dont drop glimmer so takes 1.5-2x longer than a regular strike for the same reward since most people dont know how to juggle supers Theres also a good chance the people that leave just did the strike too since the strike playlists love making people repeat strikes

Edited by Hellekeen: 12/20/2014 4:29:05 PMTl;DR. (Too long didnt Run)

Wait is the Undying Mind the PS4 strike? Because I got a grimoire for it but I don't ever remember fighting it.
-
It's because they can't run past all the mobs to get to the end boss. It does not take that much longer than any other strike, about 15 mins, max
-
Well, even though you brought it up; just solo it if you really want it. Shouldn't be that hard if you are of level and keep your distance I'm sure. That's basically how every other mission in this game goes (And yes, I'm on 360, I don't have this strike, but I know the game)
-
Bad guardians don't do rewarding strikes.
-
Edited by matt69870: 12/20/2014 4:31:31 PMI leave for a couple of reasons. The strike is a grind, waves and waves of strong enemies to get past barriers that shouldn't be there to begin with Almost all the enemies are majors/ultras but don't drop any glimmer In the time it takes to complete I could do two other strikes for the same crap reward The boss is not unique, just a reskin of a hydra and thus feels like a half assed job
-
I know I will never leave that strike, no matter how many times I've gotten it in a row. Gotten a Leg. ship called RipShip Pardoner (affectionately known as Space Winnebago) and a TLW 2.0
-
And the yellow mooks in the undying mind strikes don't give glimmer. I'm talking about those weird vex with funny helmets. There are so many of them but none of them drop glimmer when they die.
-
What annoys me is all those precursors that you can't get glimmer off from.
-
Cause it is a ps4 exclusive.
-
Love this strike, got a couple mates to run it and we generated about 300 orbs between us. Was great fun
-
All the ROC strikes drop ships.
-
I love this strike... Fireteams that use their supers and make lots of orbs make short work of the cheap ass mobs inthe hall that don't drop any glimmer. I still made around 2k with a Blue Polyphage equipped. It is really a nice change of pace from all of the other strikes...Constant action. I wish more were like this one.
-
Honestly I think it is the best strike in the game. Would not skip
-
I think it's one of the best strikes. People in playlists are generally looking to skip to the end & this one doesn't let you. Boo hoo
-
I wish I got that strike more often.
-
The 2 new strikes are my favorites, they're a lot of fun with a lot of kills and potential for drops. Just did the Omnigul strike earlier and got a purple engram drop. When it's a time crunch or I just want to run through some strikes quickly I'm hoping for the Nexus or Phogoth though. You can get both of those done in the time it takes to do one Undying Mind so I can see why some people would just quit if it came up.
-
Can someone please help Is this the new level 30 strike? And if so what rewards or what makes this new strike special?
-
Ran this last night, started out okay with all three of us getting through the first phase pretty quickly but after that first phase one of the guys dropped out so me and the other guy had to two-man the rest of it up until a random joined at the boss fight. That middle phase with the precursors takes a while when you're only two. Corrective Measure with field scout is a huge help. I still think it's a fun strike. More fun than Omnigul and WAY more fun than that damn Dust Palace strike.
-
Personnally I leave because it took longer time for the same rewards. And it's only mob spawning. The only fun part is when the boss comes and the eoic music start. It's like Omnigul: waste of time
-
I like it no idea why they would also blue polyphage + some telemetry super fast level increase and glimmer farm cod it's not too spread out
-
That's my new fav strike
-
I don't know what you have against soloing it. It's not an elitist thing... when I had a hard time finding people for nightfall's I was like 'screw it, I'm doing it with or without a team'. It's more a determination thing than a 'look at me' thing.
-
I really enjoy this strike. Its almost like a wave upon wave of mini-boss battles right until the end.
-
I believe there are 2 simple reasons that people leave the strike which, I tried to do 4 or 5 times only in one other 2 players didn't leave, first one is the strike does not let you by pass the enemies till the boss. Considering most of the players are runners (not that I blame anyone, it gets boring after a while). Second reason is it is harder than other strikes ( I am not saying that it is hard level strikes, but in relevamce it is harder than others) and yellow bar vex is tougher to kill. My personal opinion is that it is one of the best strikes. I like the chaotic fighting environment as we don't really have that in Destiny apart from casual alien race fights and some parts
