343 Stepping Up to the Plate!
Just read this article and all I have to say is wow...
That is the way to apologize to your consumers. Way to go 343!
Now I get it, ODST wasn't the greatest game in the series, but it was still a lot of fun gameplay wise. And the fact the 343 devs are giving it the reworked touch at 1080p and 60FPS is pretty -blam!- amazing counting that it's added for free to the MCC (for those who purchased MCC and played it). In addition to a remastered download of ODST, players also get a month of Xbox Live Gold, in game custom nameplate and avatar, and another remastered map all for free.
Now once again, [b]that[/b] is how you apologize. It's sad that Halo MCC turned out the way it did, but glad to see [i]at least one[/i] company stepping up and admitting they messed up. Nothing but respect for 343 right now. Just hope they can follow through with that though.

It has to suck to apologize because you messed up so bad Throw in "free" things that you were eventually going to get anyways, and it shows your character Amazing how you view your self worth and what is considered pacifying the LBs

considering the content of this topic i would like to say that i'm getting really tired of the children on xbox live spamming me asking for license transfer info so they can have the dlc that i paid for, so im not against free content but im not entirely against it being paid for either. paying for things is just a part of the human condition its what we have to do to be a part of this current world. I dislike random people asking for free stuff. yes this includes the stupid bums on the street corner, i have to work my mediocre full time job to live check to check guess what your getting you bum!!! a baking sheet full of baked red hot pennys! long story, really happened in down town seattle back in like 1998? baking sheet full of red hot fresh pennys thrown on random bum. it was about 3$ usd worth.

Isolates the fan base and people who paid $60 for it on Dec 20th that are paying the same for less. B. Justifies their original screw up and makes it seem beneficial. C. It reinforces negative behaviors found in gamers. The cynic in me says that they might have made this free anyways and some marketing guy said "Hey I know how we can win back goodwill and make more money off their blindness. All we have to do is give the people who experienced online issues the ODST dlc "free of charge" which was gona be free anyways and slap a $20 price tag on it for those who didn't and those dummies will be none the wiser that we're making money off of our mistake muahahahaahahaaaaa" [spoiler]I quoted myself from another thread about the same thing but I thought your thread could use some attention :/))[/spoiler]
