Brief qualification summary:
I'm going on 7 years experience as a programmer in Unity. The position requires scripting experience and I know I can get familiar with any engine and its scripting capability. I have been to market 18 times with Unity and have worked on some big brand games in the mobile space (spanning millions of users). I'm an avid raider, not just of Destiny, but in the past with WoW. I've always wanted to be a technical designer on a raid based game. I'm also one of the top PVE destiny players with a lot of playtime under my belt.

I know I have applied for the Associate Raid Designer position, but I wanted to keep the raid designs more private for now just in case some of the ideas are utilized in the future. The goal here was to showcase some of my general design skills without spoiling the raid stuff. I can provide raid designs privately of course if requested by Bungie, as I would imagine they might come in handy at some point in the interview process. I don't mean to burst your bubble, but that attitude and arrogance (unwarranted by the looks of your "resume") won't be appreciated at any job, let alone at Bungie. I apologize if these words are hurtful, but I just think you need a reality check and hopefully you'll change your attitude because of it :) Don't get me wrong, I hope you get the job anyways!

3 RepliesI this his skills are better suited for file storage size efficiency. Also a bit of networking. when he was asked the question of define the word raid, it was a textbook answer. You didn't feel the drive passion and heart and soul. to create something never seen before. That is what they need. Besides those characteristics I don't think he is qualified for the position. I would not hire him.

2 RepliesI would try ubisoft Bunjee wont hire you. They already think they are superior to you. Besides that fact, they want to climb out of this together, but they wont. sinking ship. Go somewhere that people will say wow you work there. you look pathetic now. As predicted go make some flyers for someone's business ;)

I’m on the verge of taking a job that I have to take, but it’s not the job I want to take. We’ve all been there before, but I know if I don’t try to get the job I want, I’ll never have it. Bungie, I want to work for [i]you[/i]. I want to work along side other raid designers and implement the most insanely fun raids that will impact the industry over the next decade. I want to wake up each morning and come into [i]your[/i] office and give you my best. I have the talent, dedication, and will to succeed. I even have a track record to back that up :). So let me sweeten the pot. Since hiring out of state is costly, let me shoulder as much risk as I can for the initial part of the process. I’m offering to pay for my own transportation for the interview, assuming of course you’d like to interview me. Also, to stay competitive, if any other candidate for the Associate Raid Designer position has made the same offer then I’ll add one lunch anywhere in Bellevue, keeping the cost within reason of course. Last but not least, if there is a “Has spouse played Bungie games before?” hidden requirement, the answer is a big YES. My wife has a legit Halo 3 matchmaking double kill under her belt as well as some Earth patrol time to boot. She was most delighted the first time she ever precision eliminated a Dreg. That’s not on my resume, but it’s a cold hard fact. Let’s do this. Thanks y’all!
