Deej Deleted Tweet About Weekly Update

Slap those tin foil hats on people! Multiple reports from people that Deej tweeted something a couple hours ago about the weekly update being delayed until tomorrow. Said they were crunching numbers for something "fun". That tweet has since been deleted. What a public relations mess the last two weeks has been. I was hoping for some info tonight that might entice me to come back to Destiny. I want to love this game but I refuse to keep being kicked in the balls by it. However my reasons for leaving are not the point of this post! What are your theories on the mystery of the deleted tweet? Ooooo... Welcoming both serious and ridiculous theories. Go! Edit: If anyone has screen caps of the deleted tweet, please post a link to it here! Edit: Here is a link to the deleted tweet! Credit to Spikenson for hooking this up! http://m.imgur.com/NsaPkEg Edit: Deej posted in the DestinyTheGame subreddit that he deleted the tweet cause there was a "tiepo" Looking at the deleted tweet now I can see it says cruching instead of crunching. Sooooo.. Using the olllll typo excuse huh? The plot thickens! Dun dun duhhhhhhhn

  • Kind of funny to delete a tweet over a missing "n" in "crunch" but fine, whatever. I've yet to see a weekly update that contained any information worthwhile so I'm not holding my breath. The numbers Bungie is "crunching" are probably be how many people are playing the new DLC or are still playing Destiny and various other meaningless statistics like how many bad guys have been killed so far, how long people have been playing, etc etc. All of it being a fairly transparent deflection of the near universal panning the DLC has gotten from game journalists being like, "hey guys, look how many of you love Destiny and are playing it" (ignoring the fact that people playing it doesn't actually equate to enjoying it, but whatever, people will keep making that connection.) Honestly the only thing that ever interests me in these updates is mentions of fixes, improvements, and changes based on the novel of good suggestions the community and game journalists have made. And when I say "mentions" I mean DeeJ dancing around them by saying 3 or so vague words and the eventual "soon".
