Armor node balance idea

Take any legendary piece of armor. Up the class requirement materials, but decrease the final three nodes to two nodes needing ascendant or radiant materials. Two final nodes, 7 each, and simply increase the glimmer count due to the amount of drops for consumables. I can pretty much go into any encounter involving ultras in nightfall and get multiple consumables. Keep that. After that, you activate it and keep killing. Glimmer drops like crazy, satisfying the hunger, and afterwards you go driving around public events to get the final ascendant material. Besides that, make exotic shards drop possible for nightfalls. Sure, we can get exotic weapons possibly, but if we don't, we still have a second chance to get the exotic shards we need to upgrade our exotics. Thoughts?
