One step at a time - matchmaking
We need matchmaking for weekly Heroic, nightfall and Raids. Lets maybe start with Weekly Heroic and slowly add matchmaking for the rest. Telling people to search forums or go to a website to form a strike team "is" matchmaking, but in the most inconvenient way. I feel like I am being left out of what the game has to offer and will soon be leaving if I can't advance due to lack of matchmaking.

Forget matchmaking, just make an in-game text chat with a shout, say, and lfg section so people can just mess around, as questions to nearby people, or type in the lfg chat for a weekly, nightfall,raid group.

1 ReplyThey will never do it, but I wish they would give us match making for the raids. Bungie apparently thinks everyone who plays their game has a half a dozen friends that play too. Not the case Bungie! Let everyone experience the raids, not just groups. At least giving us some way to easily find people trying to play raids.

Since there is no option for a private match it will auto-fill empty slots. Use DestinyLFG.net it's not inconvenient at all you just post your level and which activity you want to do and someone will pick you up.

2 RepliesNope, i don't want to matchmake with people who do less work in raid or people who stays in spawn areas and don't move at all. And even people will matchmake just to troll people..sorry i perfer COMMUNICATE to people if they want to do raid rather than matchmaking with people who joke around or stays in spawn areas and not do nothing at all.

BUMP BUMP BUMP And for anyone complaining, this would be OPTIONAL, I for one would use it rather than trailing through forums to find randoms. I'm Literally paying full price AND doing all the legwork, c'mon Bungie sort it out. DestinyLFG is great but sometimes I would rather just click a button and start playing rather than wait forever in orbit for the team to be full Maybe optional matchmaking for Raids on Normal but keep Hard Mode private only VOG is pretty easy with randoms anyway and I've managed to get to Crota CP with randoms so far 2 with no mics. Not really a lot to ask for considering the price tag including DLC - £75.00 so far :O I don't even get that for a 10 hour Nightshift

1 ReplyWe need matchmaking for weekly heroic and nightfall. You want to be a raider then find a raid team. I think making raids out of reach for PUGs is acceptable. weekly heroic and nightfall is not out of reach for Pugs and we should be allowed to do them that way, no fix needed just add matchmaking. Raids would be harder I would expect a whole new difficulty level dumbed down if they decided to do matchmaking (though from the sound of it they dumbed down the new raid insanely already....I mean soloed in the first 2 weeks....come on bungie.

strange how they didnt have this approach with halo 2 "we didn't want to include MM as when your playing CTF or other gametypes as your not going up against AI these are other other spartans who learn and work together and is the most fun when playing and working together with your friends"

It's most likely the easiest fix. They should start implementing it. I would rather a LFG tool in the game. We can then make any party for anything. That's the big fix this game needs.

Something needs to be done whether it's just with the weekly strikes and nightfalls but would also like the raid to be included, but I'd take anything at this point. This is outta control and something that should have been included in the game on its release date.

I've said it in every other post about MM. A lfg board in the tower to the right of the bounty board would be a great answer to in game match making.

I agree you spend a lot of time trying to get random people to join you. Put a area in the tower where you could stand letting people know what you are interested in doing. That would be a start.
