This is purely a theory and i have no reason to believe it might be true, but i had this random idea that maybe there is another chest in the raid that is only obtainable if your fireteam can beat Crota without anyone dying (no oversoul ever spawning). This is just an idea, and obviously if anyone has beaten him without anyone dying already then my theory is totally false. Does anyone else think it might be possible or perhaps has anyone beaten Crota without any deaths already? I would love to test this and find out, but i'm having enough trouble beating Crota as it is...
