Gallahorn is officially overpowered - FIX IT - My Experience

If you want to know what unbalanced looks like, I'll tell you read on. Tonight I jumped onto Destiny. As soon as I do, I join one of my Destiny friends whom I play with almost every day (meaning 5 out of 7 days a week). The conversation is a bit choppy so, we go to set up a chat. By the time I can set up a room he sends me an invite from someone else's chat party. He asks me if I want to do the new raid(FYI, we raid together all the time). He says that they are at the final boss and asks me if I had done it before. I reply that I have done it one time before but that we didn't beat him. Then another voice (that I don't recognize cuts in and says, "Do you have Gallahorn?" I reply, "No" because I don't. He then says, (I can't tell if to me or to my friend) "Sorry man, we need to grab two more Gallahorn guys." (It's not mentioned but I know that my friend has Gallahorn) There is about 3 or 4 seconds of background talk. Then it flashes across my screen, "You have been kicked out of the party." The guy kicked me out because I don't have Gallahorn. If someone like me can be screened out on account of not having 1 particular weapon, then that weapon is broken. That's not a brag or conceit, it's simply a fact. I play 6 or 7 days a week since release date. I have 3 level 30 characters, now one 31 and two 30's since the DLC. I ran the Vault of Glass 35 times. I have 12 exotic weapons and 11 exotic armors, not counting duplicates. I fit squarely in the "People who play Destiny too much club". But because I didn't have that 1 weapon none of it mattered. I just wasn't lucky enough to get a Gallahorn so that means I'm second tier. No other explanation makes sense. They know that Gallahorn creates a separate tier. Gallarhorn is too overpowered to be offered at random. So fix it Bungie. I'm not the type to rage quit over something like this. I know people make mistakes and any endeavor as big as creating Destiny is going have some mistakes made. However, I'm not the type to keep playing and more importantly, to keep paying, If I'm going to be considered a second tier player because of the luck of the draw. EDIT: Dec. 16, 2014, 12:40PM CST I posted the below in response to someone's comment further down in thread, but no one reads that far. Some people are still missing my point and I thing the response I gave below provides some context to what I mean. .................................. But the issue not the competence of the other team. The issue isn't whether or not you actually do need Gallahorn to beat Crota. The issue is that one particular weapon so stands out from the others that it has started to become a basis of inclusion in the minds of gamers. That's what I'm reporting. And nerfing the weapon is not the only solution. The problem is if a weapon both is a basis of inclusion AND is randomly obtained. To fix it you only need to solve one of the two. Either make it readily available, or make other substitutes that perform equally and are readily available. If the basis of inclusion were for instance, "The Devil You Know" or I guess now, "The Devil You Don't" that would not be a problem even if it were OP, because everybody can get it at will. Or if it were Hawkmoon as the basis of inclusion, but Thorn performed well enough to be create a legitimate argument as to which was better that would be okay. Thorn is close enough and is obtainable by everyone willing to do enough bounties; therefore Hawk would cease to be used as a basis of inclusion. But Gally is a non-bounty exotic, and you can't get most non-bounty exotics at will, that is a problem.
