153 RepliesNo offense to your beliefs, but I don't believe in Christmas, and I don't want to see that. Sorry man. I'm not supporting any religious based idolatry in a game made for everyone. Say yes to that, then they will have to add the call for prayer in the tower for our Muslim brothers, a pentagram for the satanists, a statue of Joseph Smith for LDS, on and on and on. No. Just no. Not everyone is Christian or celebrates Christmas. Need to respect that.

Lol I love how offended some people got, yet I guarentee there's so much in Everyone's Town, that's directly related holidays (most Christian ones) yet no one cares. Do you walk out of a Walmart or a Staples because "Santa's coming to town" is playing? Or because stores sell Christmas related items, yet not Muslim related holiday items? No, you get your crap, and leave, probably not giving a crap. Hell my friend is Buddhist and she still buys gifts for all her friends. A good majority of those who celebrate probably don't even view the holiday as Christian anymore...

5 RepliesWe aren't the ones making the game. If bungie wants to put a tree in the tower, they can. If bungie wants to link it to Christianity, they can. We play the game but we don't make it. We bought the disc or downloaded the game but we don't control what happens. The world is full of stuff we don't like and if a company wants to do something with their product they can. If they want to celebrate a Jewish or Islamic or any other type of religion, they have every right to do so. If someone doesn't like the thought of seeing a Christmas tree (which doesn't represent Christianity and originated in Germany) in the tower, either deal with it or just stopped playing. No one made a big deal about what Bungie did for Halloween with the pumpkins, so why should everyone freak out when they use a tree. I say, put the tree in the tower.

Stuff like this would be awesome to see! I think it helps take away from the seriousness of the game. People (mostly players) have been taking this shit way too seriously (mostly on the forums). It would be good to add back in the funny moments that seemed to have disappeared after the "little light" joke... Or if we want it to be a serious game, then perhapth the dev team could take our input more seriously...

I just want to say to everyone dogging this dang post that he was talking about a FREAKING TREE! Calm down. I don't celebrate Christmas either, and if you read, the tree doesn't mean what anyone thinks it means. But still. Calm down!
