SHARDS FROM CROTA?!?!!!! ARE YOU EFFING SERIOUS?!!?!?!!
UPDATE: Apparently you illiterate apes can't read dates, considering this post was made December 17th. Things have been fixed/changed to balance this issue better. I haven't played this since January, I have everything in the game I need. You morons need to relax a bit and actually pay attention to what you're reading. Morons.
So...you patch the game, and now all I got were 2 shards when we defeat Crota?! Thanks, Bungie...awesome. F*** me, right?
EDIT: For all you morons bitching about...well, our bitching, here's the issue:
A)Beating the Weekly on hard guarantees you a better reward than the much harder Nightfall.
B)The toughest boss in the game (arguably) gives you the same reward as a chest found at the beginning of the raid that you can easily get yourself.
I know what an RNG is. I don't expect great things every attempt. I also don't feel it's right to not be rewarded accordingly. I get a lot of people Bitch incessantly on here, I don't want to sound like one of them...but I'd much rather get the same gear repeatedly than just shards, it doesn't seem proportionate to the task.
Especially the nightfall...strange coins shouldn't be a possible reward considering its guarantee from and easier mission.
But, you know, we're just crying and all...

1 ReplyRadiant shards are still useful and people can use them. Getting ascendant mats from the nightfall is much worse. Very few people running the nightfall need ascendant mats.

I am fully convinced this game does actually "favor" some people or there is some sort of method to this madness.I have played the new raid with two characters and had a chance for a total of 8 drops/chests. Of those 8 drops, all have been shards or energy. How is that random? How is that I can get that and the guy next to me has a full raid set AND weapons? To further reinforce this, I've played VoG numerous times (at least twice a week since it came out) and have never received Atheon's Epilogue, which is a very common drop. Got VoC five times, but no Epilogue. Timepiece or Fatebringer? I've totally given up. Vex? Haha not even trying for it. My nighfalls this week? Shards and coins. Nightfalls last week? Same. Will someone please explain the "randomness"?

Dude this must be your first or second week beating Crota.. I've gotten just shards/energies plenty of times. I still have yet to get a heavy from Crota, but I have 5 Swordbreakers (had, dismantled). Stop complaining..

Since the release i run CE every week and 4 TIMES i got nothing but shards from the last fight, the only weapon i got so far is Yir yut machinegun, no blackhammer, no HOC, NOTHING. Considering that i run the mission 7/8 times i got only one raid weapon....this is really annoying
