I've played a lot of online fps but the kill 500 guardians in order to get this exotic is more ridiculous than getting a nuke on cod. Deaths take away from getting the 500? Is it worth trying this or should I just wait for a pve exotic?

Edited by BNGHelp3: 12/16/2014 11:06:50 PMYou don't actually have to kill 500 Guardians necessarily, you just have to get 500 points. A kill with void damage is 5 points, a death takes away 2 points, so you just have to get over a 0.4 kill to death ratio while using exclusively void weaponry and you'll eventually clear the bounty. Thorn is pretty thematic and strong, and I feel the challenge is very doable if you have the right strategy. Rumble (because of the chaos and the every man for himself and lack of general strategy / preservation instincts) or Control (camping control points) is the best way to rack up kills, bring a solid void fusion rifle / shotgun and a void heavy machine gun (and Atheon's Epilogue if you have one and can stand the darn thing) and focus on getting kills over winning the game. Control the heavy spawns, learn the maps, be slightly more clever than your opponents. Playing with friends is also highly encouraged. Good luck!

Yeah to get the thorn right? I REALLY tried (I mean I'm not even bad but I couldn't go toe to toe when every match was level 28-30's running around with capped Vex hezen rifles I mean the stuff I saw in the crucible was unlike any bullshit I'd seen in the game) After DAYS of trying I managed to get it up to about 100 and then I decided you know what this is retarded I might as well be punching myself in the nuts at this point. So I dumped it and got a real exotic bounty. Tolands legacy, that's what you want. At the end instead of having to do lines of cocaine and chugging adderall smoothies it has you collect 10,000 points instead of 500, ALL points (Including stealing bases so that's sweet) count towards your progress and as bonus cookies killing warlocks is worth 125 points AND dying isn't anything close to slamming your head in refrigerator door.

No such thing. From my understanding ALL exotic bounties have a PvP requiment.
