Are you happy with the RNG system?
I wonder if Bungie will respond to straightforward polling, so I will be posting a number of simple polls. Add your comments about how you think things should be fixed and why, or why not.
Do you think the random number generator system for loot works? Why or why not? Would you prefer to have specific rewards at the end of tough tasks? Or maybe you would like to just know that you'll be getting at least one legendary or exotic?
Edit: Some people really like these polls and would like to see them trending. Perhaps Bungie will see them then and respond to them in some way? Maybe wishful thinking.. Anyways, I have added links to the other polls so that you can vote on all of them!

This RNG shit is worthless. I've been grinding since the game came out.. it took me 10x longer to reach lvl 30 than my "casual" friends, with half the vog runs or and playtime Now it's once again screwing me with this update. I've done the new raid every week since its release, now my same friend just got ice breaker, and the rest of the gear he needs to be lvl 32. He started later! He plays far less often than myself! He hardly ever raids! I saw somone get their 3rd gjallahorn from the nightfall today. All i got was a legendary engram which turned out to be shards. I have no icebreaker, i jave no gjallahorn..What's the point of being loyal and trying to 'earn' anything, when all I get is a -blam!-in middle finger?!

I was just walking around the cosmodrome when all the sudden a person was killing a sword bearer and I shot one bullet at the bearer and I got the husk of the pit 😀

1 ReplyIn general yes, but noone is ever going to be happy unless they get everythint they want when they want it. Playing games like diablo 2 for a few years will show you that good drops in real rpg games are extremely few and far between, in this game im surprised when I dont get an exotic from a raid or nightfall. Exotics are extremely common in the grand scheme of things. 99% of destiny users got atleast one exotic in the first few weeks of playing, which I think has spoiled the community and created an expectation for fast rewards from little input. A few weeks ago I got 7 exotics in 2 days from 3 nightfalls 2 legendary engrams and 2 raids, those are crazy numbers.

1 ReplyI think if we had more variety in the gear we could find for each class it wouldn't be bad. But the problem stems from the lack of gear there is to find. Everyone is trying to find the same 4 pieces of a raid set so this makes RNG feel much much worse. For a game that had it's biggest selling point as making your own legend and customizing your gear it sure lacks in the customization department when people in the tower look the same and have the same load outs.

Dropped into a ROC strike last night trying to slog through 25 for Toland, and came in when Phogoth had a sliver of health. Ran in, shot him once to finish him off, got a legendary helmet engram. This after days of nothing. I LOVE RNG lol

There will always be the people who whine because they didn't get a Gjallarhorn or Thunderlord from the Nightfall, etc. However, the RNG sucks. It's the kind of thing that will give a guy with 3 Titans a Heart of Praxic Fire, while that one Warlock player is still stuck with the Voidfang Vestments from the first week Xur sold it, within the same lobby, gets a Truth. Ahh, RNG. And don't get me started on the Crucible, lol.

Nightfall RNG Blows! The rewards can be worse than that of the weekly heroic. Makes no sense. Better of chasing daily events than running the nightfall sometimes...

I hate the RNG in Destiny, especially in the raid. I've completed Crota's End six times and my rewards have been four Swordbreakers, 2x shards and 2x shards (in that order). WANK!

A lvl 2 dreg has just as much a chance at dropping legendaries as a lvl 26 dreg. If theres a gun you want specifically, you play the nightfall, raid, weekly heroic, crucible, level up my cryptarch and just HOPE that the gun i want drops. But if i want a Hornet in Borderlands 2, i go kill Knuckledragger for a few hours until it drops. I think strike bosses, story bosses should have specific loot pools so you can actually work for what you want as opposed to being rewarded with something you potentially dont want for hard work.

On one hand people need to stop whining and quit expecting a Gjallarhorn to pop up from the Nightfall Strike every week. On the other hand, getting real tired of all these motha -blam!-ing Voidfang Vestments from all these motha -blam!-ing sources! (*Cough - Xur, Legendary Engrams*) ...Hopefully I can get the Praxic Fire or Starfire Protocol. Some day...

3 RepliesI got 6 legendaries and 2 exotics within 5 hours yestarday so I'd say it's fine (right now). Though I did only get a legendary engram from the nightfall so that was kind of disappointing. But it's free materials in the end so it's whatever.

3 RepliesI think its great, people just complain to much because they don't get what they wanted. They should defiantly remove them useless Shard and Energy rewards from Nightfall. Worse than Ebola.
