Getting 1 drop from Crota
Just beat crota on all 3 of my characters and 2 of the 3 times i only got 1 drop, 2 radiant shards. Is that supposed to happen? Has anyone else also only gotten one drop? Everyone else in my group except for one other got 4 drops.
EDIT: Even though it sucks, im glad to know that my friend and I werent the only ones who had this happen to. It seems this is supposed to happen and is a possible loot drop. Bummer.

8 RepliesYour only suppose to get 1 to 2 drops on crota. The reason everyone got so many for the first time is because you get the emblem and the shader for your first completion. But I mean yea it does suck to only get shards. But if your like me any shards you get can help level that new raid gear.

I got 2 shards then beat him again and got 2 energy...

You're not getting bad items my nightfall consisted of shit my heroic shit my Daily's shit and my most favorite every item I got from raid is energy all -blam!-ing 3 times on all -blam!-ing characters.

Ya dude, Im quite disappointed. Ive finished it 6 times, twice w all characters and the first week I got 3 Machine Guns, and this week didn't get a single gun at all, just shards and energy. And Nightfalls this week I got 8 energy, LDR sniper which I already got 3 times and a legendary pulse rifle. And I haven't got a single ascendant for any public event this week. IDK whats goin on but Destiny sorta hates me right now. Im still havin fun playin the game, but it is very disappointing to constantly get crap loot for the big drops.

Last night we did the raid start to finish....all I got the whole run all five drops was shards and energy. HUGE disappointment.

Ive heard its a glitch on bungies end and happens to 2 of the 6 in every group. Whether thats confirmed or not I still havent seen and I doubt Bungie will answer if it is their issue

Beat the raid this week and only got shards,no weapons or armor only waste of time....

If it makes you feel any better.. Same happen to me on 2/3 characters and the one weapon drop I got was the same machine gun for my 3rd time ;/

I've beaten him 4 times, I have got The shader The Emblem Hunger of Crota Black Hammer Song of Ir Yut Swordbreaker Shards/energy every time Also got the full raid gear apart from the hat from the other drops :-D

I don't even want to play the game anymore... 2 shards from Crota Boss fight, while another teammate got double the rewards. That was the straw that broke the camels back. Seriously? Everyone gets multiple raid drops, multiple items from the raid, while I get nothing but 2 shards in return for all my hardwork?

What made it worse was I used the sword and tore Crota to bits throughout the 7 or 8 minutes it took to kill him. Bungie, STOP RELYING ON RNGESUS FOR REWARDS FOR EVERY ACTIVITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why can't you put in a system to where certain roles performed by certain people have different or higher chances for rewards? I got robbed so utterly because RNGesus didn't bless me, just like with the three nightfalls I did this week... 9 ascendant shards, 5 coins, and a legendary pistol... Yet my friend does it three times and gets the Glasshouse, Dragon Breath, and the No Land Beyond... Complaining wont work I know, but that is just bulls**t how I get utterly robbed while my friends who do the easy jobs get all the loot... Whatever, at least they get their chance to hit rank 32 and have Hive disruptor weapons, and also get their exotic wish lists fulfilled...

I got 4 drops each completion last week plus shards and energy which didn't show up in the loot screen. Consisting of LMG, fusion and sniper. This week I did it three times got 2 energy first try, shotgun and shard second and ship and shards on my third try. So I'm not too bad off, I really only wanted the rocket launcher for weapons cause the rest seem kind of lacklustre to say the least. Don't care about the raid helm cause it would just mean more shards which will take a long time to get anyways.
