Should we boycott Iron Banner?
There is so many constructive complaints I don't even know where to begin. The light level on the new gear sucks, we are already getting 31 from the vendors. The items are the same as last time (gauntlets/boots) and we only had two weeks to enjoy them before they became obsolete. Upon dismantling you find out all the time earning them and all the time upgrading them garners sapphire wire when dismantled. For those who have already got shaders and emblems on all three toons, you don't even begin to get bs gear until rank 3 because the other two are completely frickin redundant! I suggest we all boycott this crap, who's with me?!

In all honesty I would play and enjoy the iron banner if my early Christmas present hadn't been getting robbed of almost everything but my phone.

I don't think it should go away, I like IB. The gear is better this time as well. I'm grinding to get it cause I like the way it looks compared to the new gear at the vendors. I just got the IB boots again and dismantled the boots from the vendor and I'll do the same with the gloves when I get them. I got everything from the last IB and I don't mind putting in the work to get the same stuff again. I prefer to wear the IB gear over vendor gear any day.

3 RepliesI'm happy the gear is only 31. People can't just get carried going .5K/D for a week and be lvl.32 while raiders spend weeks grinding the raid. PVE MASTER RACE Let the tears start being collected :3

eh don't see why we'd boycott...just fun to play pvp where your gear actually matters cuz that's the point right? iron banner should always be around but lord saldin should only come for a week every once in a while. and when it does come around yes the gear needs to be better/different

Edited by BeanTwenty3: 12/18/2014 2:14:29 PMthey should of kept us all at our previous ranks, added another 2-3 ranks, and make us need commendations (from rank up) like the Vanguard and Crucible stuff, should also give us a re-roll on legendaries (the same goes for the res of them too, from other marks) to use a Mark + a shard + Glimmer to upgrade them to 2.0 i love my freaking jolders hammer and thats why im doing IB for the 2.0 one then re-roll it to solar or Arc, prefer arc.

To be fair about the rank reset, they gave fair warning about that, everything else is right though

If iron banner is a PVP event then sell weapons that are competitive for "Competitive Multiplayer" such as a shadow price of vanquisher reskinned. 80% of guns are just the same guns reskinned with different perks anyways but make competitive weapons competitive please bungie. In general I'm just bothered that nearly all the DLC weapons are horrible for PVP. The two crucible scout rifles and the new vanquisher are the only things viable that are legendary. The crota's end weapons are horrible LOL I mean they are BBAAAAAD. I have all of them by the way and I've tested all of them...I would feel bad upgrading them to 331. It would be such a waste of...anything... I

For those that have exotic/legendary gear already and want to level it up faster, it is MORE ways to gain that EXP to level that gear faster. Simply use your already leveled up gear in the IB, obtain bounties, go back to Lord saladin, swap to your low level exotic/legendary gear, and level it up by turning in the bounties Between this, normal Crucible bounties (which btw count during Iron Banner since you're killing Guardians), and Vanguard bounties you can level up your newly acquired gear/raid gear that much more quickly! even IF Lord Saladin doesn't offer "good enough" gear the daily bounties more than make up for it. ESPECIALLY if you already work on Crucible Bounties as it's a 2 for 1 in your favor

2 RepliesI'm not. I like the level advantages disabled. Some boots I might buy for strictly cosmetic purposes. Plus, IB is a great opportunity to gain higher levels for any situational Guardian. Why boycott IB? Why can't you form constructive criticism in feedback instead of looking for bandwagon hoppers to make you feel validated?
