My problem with Commendations is simple, I can't restrict myself to Patrols anymore. I want to admire the landscape and hunt down some poor sorry Dreg to get my ranks up. Now it's absolutely necessary I do the Crucible. I used to do Crucible every now and then to get some marks and then go back to patrolling, but now it's just a chore. So what I would like is this. Bungie, please let us use Vanguard Marks and Commendations for Factions. Faction gear is cool, and not to mention stylish, and I know I would like to Patrol to get it, and I'm sure others would too.
