So there I was, minding my own business, finishing off my vanguard marks with a friendly Roc run. We polish off the Earth strike and I get yet another shader that I already have 4 of, and yet another blue engram. I take this engram to the Cryptarch and he decides to troll me.
In return for the 9001st (approximately) Blue engram he gives me a Legendary AR: Do Gooder V. This is the FIRST FSKING LEGENDARY THAT I HAVE GOTTEN FROM THIS GUY SINCE WEEK 3 AFTER LAUNCH. That's right, over 25 levels of BS from the Cryptarch and he decides to give me arguably the best non-raid AR in the expansion.
But what about the perks? It has Counterbalance (increased stability) Field Scout (increased magazine size) and Crowd Control (kills give bonus damage). Not only is it a good AR, it has amazing perks. Why is this bad?
Just that morning I reached level 31 by maxing a full set of (fugly, and I mean FUGLY) Vanguard armor with handcannon perks. #HandcannonMasterRace ... and bloody proud. And the Cryptarch, with a huge grin, gives me that AR.
/sigh. Now do I try for a full set of IB 3.0 AR gear, or do I take the easy route and let this amazing AR rot?

Try for AR gear, I get the third eye perk for my Do Gooder V, and have never used crowd control, but you can't go wrong with that gun

Scout Rifle..

Use both.

Once you get raid armor it renders your Primary Weapon Perks obsolete anyways...

Get Red Death, scrub.

Use it in the crucible. Then buy armor to be used in the crucible that suits AutoRifles. Suggest maybe New Monarchy (the others tell lies)
