lVl 30 raid gear = useless ??

I have seen a lot of people asking for their favorite legendary weapons of the VoG getting upgraded. I totally agree with this idea. I, somewhere, also understand why Bungie doesn't support this. Probably because you need to work for something new/better. "People would not do the new raid because they already have great (max) gear..." they say. I can understand this (doesn't mean I agree). But what I don't like is that the weapons/armor that you got attached to are now somewhere as "useless" because they're not the best of the best anymore as they were used to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3DLTPQwB10 In this video you see Deej telling us that he hopes that people will keep playing the VoG for experience, for fun. Not for the things we get from it. From my experience people ONLY replay the VoG to get lucky with their drops. After a raid-run people will be happy or frustrated depending of how well their RNG was in that run. Playing for ONLY FUN (like Deej is hoping for that guardians will keep playing the VoG) doesn't support the idea of the new DLC that came out with the higher lvl cap. It's all about working for something better. If the DLC didn't had a higher lvl cap people wouldn't feel a challenge to go through the new raid. (that is what I can conclude from the different posts and comments on this forum) If Deej hopes people will keep playing the game just for fun and not for the drops then I believe he's mistaken. And if Bungie believes that people will keep grinding without any variety in every grindly episode it will just make the experience more and more boring. That is just what I think. Maybe there are some people that just like to play this kind of gameplay... I would recommend for them to try out candy crush. It's a free game and you keep grinding for ages without any dlc. Now to the big statement I want to make in this post. I don't know if bungie ever looked into GuildWars. I also don't know how many people here on this forum ever have played GW instead of WoW. The big difference between the two MMO's is that GW wasn't a massive grindfest as WoW, and still was fun to play. Guild Wars 1 had a lvlcap of 20. After you bought an expansions your lvlcap wouldn't change. "So why should I play this game then if I hadn't anything to work for???" Well, in GW you could grind for the endgame armor that had the same armor Hit-point's as the standard lvl20 armor . The game provided lots of beautiful armor that you could work for. So yes, it was grinding only for aesthetics. People could show of their armors. But not own their asses in PVP or carry them in PVE. Didn't Bungie also promised us that in the world of Destiny everyone would look different? "Wow this person looks so unique blabla" No, everyone looks the same. The last month "everyone" had raid armor from the VoG. And it's obvious that soon everyone will have the next armor and never wear the VoG armor ever again. Doleful, coz VoG armor looked so badass. Now it's just a museum piece. Wouldn't it be nice that if every armor still had his benefits and you just could wear which armor you would like? People could see "woaw this guy did this raid, he has the fully raid set of armor...cool" Then your guardian will somewhere show more uniqueness than other guardians, show his personal story... That the VoG armor and weapons would still be equal with all the other new raid armor in the future is just something I would like to happen. If there are people disliking this idea, ok. But don't say that this idea CAN'T work. An MMO like Guild Wars is doing it like this and people are loving it. Maybe not everyone likes this and rather want to grind for better things whenever there is an expansion like how WoW does it. But I'm following the forums from time to time and I noticed that a lot of people are charing the same thoughts as me. They don't like to grind for something that will be useless in the end. Thank you.

 • I completely agree! It's also stupid now that you have to level up your exotic weapons again just for the damage... it seems like destiny has become a game that is related towards occupational therapy. That is not something i play games for i play it for fun not because there is nothing else to do. Also there is no point owning just the original game anymore because you can't even do the weekly/nightfall wich was most of the fun in the entire game because of the different perks that it had... I'm not buying this shit before they change their damn money grabbing policy wich this cleary is.
