I have never received anything but rares out of every rare engram I have received.
The issue I'm having with rare engrams has been growing on me ever since I started thinking about it about 2 weeks ago.
Since the engrams were patched so that they only provide engrams of there rating and up (So you can no longer get an uncommon from a rare or rare from a legendary), I cannot recall a single time that I have ever received anything but rares from rare engrams (And rare engrams are identical in value to common and uncommon, since I dismantle them immediately regardless).
Which brings me to ask the question of whether or not my account is bugged, as I appear to be the only one having the issue.
I'm a pretty active user and have been through at least 100 rare engrams alone this week, and I'm sure you'd be able to run through the destiny server/player logs to verify this.

Wow I must be really lucky, it had 16 legendarys drop since last Tuesday, 4 from blue engrams

I'm level 99 cryptarch in main, and I think 20_30 on other two. Had loads of legendary come from blues, also get a couple of legendary a day.

They have upped the chance but it's still very low. I have only had 1 legendary from a rare and I think I'm on about 500hrs or something

Almost cried when I saw a green weapon scroll on my screen when turning in blue engrams to the cryptarch. Too bad I didn't say Xbox record that.

Just the way it is. From release to dlc had only 1 exotic and a couple of legendary. But this weekend had 2 exotics drop, suros, thunderlord. 3 purple engrams, one turned into patience n time. Go figure!

I got Universal Remote from a legendary engram. And I think a couple of legendary armors from blues.

Got 3 legendaries out of blue engrams today. 5 legendary and an exotic total

I have turned in almost 1k Blues just to get blues and nothing else. Only since the dlc have I actually even gotten 2 legendary engrams. I don't think it's just your character alone. Both of my titians are this way.
