I have been saving the consumable's that you turn in to the Cryptarch (House Banners,Etc) in my Valt. It was a big help today in updating my gear. I had over 100 saved up.

Everyone who never has glimmer: 1. Go to Mars mission "Exclusion Zone" and turn the first/lowest level Heroic Modifier on. 2. Play mission until Dinklebot opens the doors where you encounter the first enemies of the level. 3. Use Resupply Codes consumable. 4. Kill the enemies. After you kill the first wave and walk out the hangar door, another ship flys up. Kill all the enemies it drops EXCEPT for the phalanxs. Let them kill you. You respawn at the moment the doors open. Kill all the enemies again. 5. Repeat as desired. You can farm around 7,000 - 8,000 glimmer in about 15 minutes doing this. Plus, the yellow bar enemies frequently drop more resupply codes.

Fantastic idea thanks! Going to do this too
-
I have no room to store these, I have important items in there. I can farm glimmer in exclusion zone whenever I need it
-
I have done this since the beginning and try to pass on the knowledge. Doing this means you're never really out of glimmer it's like a bank deposit every time.
-
Im all over this. However, I rarely have more than 10k...ever. But one day I will cash those money tokens in.
-
Truuu samehere bra
-
Had 80k worth before iron banner part deux. Then bought IB for all my toons, only to realize all such gear would be useless in three weeks, and would not dismantle into shards.
-
Cool idea, thanks for sharing. Surprised so many people on here are too retarded to understand.
-
Ppl have been doin this since launch o_O thought everyone did this.
-
As soon as I hit 25000 I buy ammo packs. Always in short supply. Or exotic bounty comes along which requires 50 special ammo in which case I drop a sh1tload anyway.
-
I never thought of this (kinda stupid, I know) so I was really happy with your tip.
-
I WANT THE HAWKMOON !!
-
Except you basically have to save them anyways since it won't let you turn them in for glimmer if your already maxed so this post is pointless
-
Nice! Can't believe I never thought of this. It would be a fantastic idea, if there was enough vault space :P
-
Lol thanks for nothing, what is the point of this post? Uhhh good for you...?
-
Been doing this since IB 2.0 :-) spread the word brother.
-
lol, I think it all evens out eventually. I save them for synthesis...I have infinite ammo (almost)....my friends are always, "damn, I don't have a heavy synthesis." or "damn, I don't have enough ammo, I'm gonna go ammo run." Then they proceed to die in nightfall *facepalm

The cap needs to be raised to 250,000
-
I think some of you are missing the point. He's getting the glimmer plus he's hanging onto the items that you get 200 glimmer for. That way he's got more than 25000 glimmer that the limit holds you at. 25000 in glimmer plus 200 per item.
-
Did they do something to the amounts of glimmer needed for upgrades and whatever? Awhile ago I was capping at 25000 and couldn't spend enough glimmer, now I'm really struggling. It just feels as if something's changed. Correct me if I'm wrong.
-
You failed to mention, everything you saved up, you were saving until after you spent some glimmer on upgrades or whatever. With everything in your vault, you dismantled, encrypted etc and received the glimmer. Thus you saved glimmer by waiting to dismantle/encrypt the items once you hit the 25k cap. Nice thinking! Poor explanation...😣
-
25.000 is the max glimmer?
-
Just do strikes and eat consumables. Marks +experience+glimmer+ chance of legendary drops
-
Done doing this for a couple weeks now. Good advice. Perhaps even super good.
-
i just run the first mars mission checkpoint in a loop , its a very fast way to earn cash
-
I build up glimmer, dump it in synth when I hit the cap. I'd rather store synth then axiomatic beads. But I was doing this for awhile too, stashing the glimmer credit. I just pop a glimmer buff whenever I do anything in game. It always just builds right back up.
