It needs a "hot key" to switch back and forth, maybe one of the d-pad buttons would work... I don't need to wave to people
-
Where's the option for a programmable button to auto switch rather than the whole menu BS? I vote that.

Edited by JHarv: 12/13/2014 6:31:28 AMThey have different designs. Solar is a witch killer. Fire shields, usually attacking from range, and heavy impact. I also really like high impact low charge rate for when you can't get many hits in. Like if you have to peek out from behind a wall for a second, you want that 1 attack you get off to have max damage. Arc is for melee. Closer range, fast charge so enemies stay off you. Great for thrall. Knights, captains, blade vandals.

Sunsinger u can revive from death
-
Arc. But Light/Beware does better anyways.
-
Option 3: Praetorian Foil Option 4: 77 Wizard arc Toss up between 3) and 4)
-
Shame you can't switch back and forth easily. Hate the "go to inventory, wait 30-59 seconds for it to load, die, then switch" deal that I have on the 360 Same with anything inventory related
-
Seems like an unnecessarily question ,it's not a permanent decision, you can change it as you need.
-
Solar, because Impact.
-
I prefer light of the abyss.
-
Can we not add a 'depends on what I need' I tend to switch back and forth depending on what I am doing.
-
I prefer the Arc version.. My friend prefers the Solar version.
-
Arc cos I didn't bother getting plan c and already maxed final rest.
-
I switch between the two depending on the mission I'm doing. I do wish though that I could get a legendary void fusion rifle. Still using a rare in the VOG.
-
solar because it does a little bit more damage
-
Both, depending on what the situation calls for - that's one of the reasons it's so great!
-
Solar because I'm used to pre-charging with Pocket Infinity. Also faster charge rate = less damage.
-
Once fully upgraded it becomes exotic
-
I use arc cause of the faster charge rate don't want to wait a million years to fire the weapon
-
Edited by cusman: 12/11/2014 5:07:45 PMI like not having to carry/level--up two fusion rifles to cover two of the elemental damage types. The weapon is also worth nothing if you scrap it (only get weapon parts), so best to keep it until the next expansion makes it completely obsolete (with no upgrade path).
-
Murmur is prob the best fusion rifle. Able to snipe mid to long range hitting all the shots... Very accurate and tight shot grouping
-
Depends on the shields I need to devastate. : ) Solar looks and sounds neater.
-
I would say for pvp, arc mode would be best due to the faster charge time. For pve I might swap to solar for the extra impact, or whatever the most common shield is for whatever I'm doing.
-
i like the way solar looks on the gun but arc because its what is required for nightfall
-
Solar, more range and impact. Most people are probably just saying arc because it wrecked in the nightfall
-
I got really lucky and got a new Void Fusion rifle from an engram, so all my fusion firle elements are covered. Arc I beleive charges faster, but solar has more range and impact. So Arc for PVP solar PVE.
