The benefit of blinkstrike is increased melee range, but warlock has said range (if not more) and do not require skill activation. I have all three characters and like to play all of them, so I say this with a heavy heart. I had a hunter and myself as warlock take turns hitting each other. Without blinkstrike (doesn't activate on friendlies) warlocks have significantly larger range.
