I'll try and make this brief. I woke up at 5:00 this morning, a good 3 hours before I had to be at work, to play the new expansion. Everything for the most part looks pretty sweet. I didn't expect a whole new game...just having a new raid, strikes, and some story missions is pretty cool.
My disappointment:
I'm a huge Dead Orbit fan. Currently rank 24. The first thing I did this morning when I got back in the tower was go and look at the updated Dead Orbit armour and shop...
My heart sank as I saw the only effort put into the armor was an updated armour and light rating.
I realize the DLC required a lot of attention. I realize that the storyline, exotic weapons, Iron banner coming up requires a lot of attention...but come on guys, you updated the Vanguard and the Crucible shops; how hard would it be to do the same for the factions? You have a ton of money and resources, I won't add time because I know you guys have been working long hours...
And here I am trying my best to be extremely understanding, and maybe writing this post is the best way to vent and put what I'm thinking and feeling down in some format.
Where is the RPG element?!?!?!
I feel kind of forgotten about. I feel like the factions, that at some point played a big part in the game, are now just collateral overhead. What you did makes it abundantly clear that the gesture to update the faction shops was obligatory...
If that's the case, then dissolve the factions. Why have them around if you're not going to put in the effort?
I know it may seem harsh. But, you've asked for us to continue to communicate. Here it is.
I still love the game. I will still continue to play the game. (The new armour, weapons, and shaders seem so cool!)
Thanks Bungie for listening.
