Petition to bungie to upgrade VOG raid items
Hello everybody.
We fought long and hard to get those items and i think they deserve to be upgraded to further levels, besides, in my personal opinion, they look awesome, so i think they deserve to be upgraded to level 32.
What do you think of that?
Edit 1: some people gave a good option that might make both bungie and the players happy. How about dismantle the new raid gear to get material that can upgrade the old raid gear to level 32? That way you still need to play the new raid, making both bungie and the players happy and you can choose how you will look and what perks do you need. I think this would be a great solution.

The problem is about having choice and variety with how guardians look and the perks and stats they choose to utilize based on their build. Bungie stressed many times that players will be able to look unique and have freedom of choice. That freedom is eliminated when each new iteration forces all players into one set of armor. How can my character not look like literally EVERY other guardian when the goal for all is to reach the highest rank possible. Inevitably the only way to look different is to not succeed in the game. To me this is a design flaw. I agree that Crota's end raid gear looks amazing. But how long will it be before House of Wolves and then you will never be able to wear it and still beat high level content for that expansion. What if you don't like house of wolves raid gear? What if you decide that you want to look like a vex enemy again because you like the perks and the aesthetics. Right now the only logical choice is if you like Crota's End raid gear and want your character to look like hive indefinitely, you will need to never obtain and play another expansion. This should not be. Every set of raid gear and raid weapon set should be able to be upgraded like the exotic weapons and armor. If you like your old raid gear you will have to earn upgrade mats that are a guaranteed drop per hard raid completion (guaranteed because anyone with a full set has played it many times already) and then you have to rank them up again....this would not break the game as this mechanic already exists.[/spoiler]

Count me in. I'd like to see a harder vog mode. Like maybe level 31 with 331 attack drops and armour that gets you to 31 light level. So it's at least on par with vendor gear.

No. It's outdated content. This happens all the time in games like this when new end game is released. The weapons still work well in normal CE and Nightfall/Weekly. Upgraded exotics are good enough because they are unique enough to keep relevant.

I think the old raid gear should be upgraded like the legendary to get you to 31 but only 32 through the new raid... FYI I have neither setup

I believe that the vog gear should have 33 light each and the new vendor gear should have 30 light. So doing the vog would get you to level 31 and crota's end to 32.

32 might be too much I say they get upgraded to level 31 and tower gear only gets you to 30. The vog weapons should also get upgraded.

Yes And I think that the armour should be increased in light and defense as well Maybe not as much as the Crota's end armour but like a few light over the vendor armour

No and everyone agreeing are just lazy scubs. I would of liked it to get the next tier tower armours you had to do vog for commendations to buy them or you had to be level 30 to buy them instead of just replacing the old tier with new tier and cutting out the vog.

6 RepliesKeep this in mind: if you scaled the old raid gear, what would be the point of the new raids? I love having to fight my way to the top, and it makes me a better fire team member. Use old gear as a stepping stone to higher levels.

1 ReplyTired of these threads. The point of dlc is for new things, not upgrading shit you already have. You're lucky they let you upgrade exotics. Let's just pay $20 so we can upgrade everything we are already wearing.

If not the armor, then at LEAST the weapons.

Already shredded most of mine, waste of inventory space. The Crucible/Vanguard gear can get you to 31 with a full set so there's no point. Also, commendations are a broken way of stunting player progress.

1 ReplyThey should be upgraded to 31. Given how much effort they took they should at least be as good as the stuff you can buy, otherwise a lot of the VoG was pointless. But not 32, there needs to be a reason and better stuff from the new raid.
